Disney’s Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival Sprouts this Spring

The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will soon be in full bloom at Walt Disney World Resort, a sure sign that spring is upon us. The festival begins February 28 and continues through May 28, 2018 for the 25th year. Featuring a colorful array of flowers, gardens, topiaries, live music, presentations and educational events, this festival is a highlight for all visitors, from gardening pros to novice naturists.

Throughout the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, guests will be able to explore topiaries and gardens, learn planting, style and design techniques and groove to the sounds of the Garden Rocks concerts.

Topiaries

The 2018 festival features several new displays, as well as some old favorites, with over 100 topiaries. Here are the best topiaries you don’t want to miss:

  • Figment – Located behind Spaceship Earth

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

Garden Rocks Concert Series

Groove to music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s at the America Gardens Theatre. Performances are at 5:30 pm, 6:45 pm and 8:00 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Exhibits, Seminars, and How-To Presentations

During the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, learn to build a better garden with fascinating tips, tricks and techniques from talented professionals, designers, and special guests. For instance, The Royal Tea Garden Tour will return for the second year by popular demand. Each festival morning at the United Kingdom pavilion, this tour will allow guests to follow a knowledgeable guide through the tranquil tea garden setting to learn the history and artistry behind growing and blending tea for a small fee. Post-tour treats of tea and scones is included.

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

New for 2018, Future World will feature an interactive play garden and Road to Florida 500 garden. These gardens will include new games and play challenges inspired by the Disney-Pixar sequel, Cars 3. From Highway Bingo to a sensory garden and activity zone, families will love this new addition to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.

Also new for the 25th festival year, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy will greet Epcot guests at the front-entrance topiary garden. This topiary will feature a milestone anniversary scene complete with a rainbow of blooming colors and flowers.

Families can also participate in Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration, a scavenger hunt that sends kids searching throughout the park for clues, treasures, and Spike’s best buds!

Outdoor Kitchens at the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival present fresh, seasonal menus from countries spanning the globe. In 2018, the festival will have 15 outdoor kitchens stationed throughout the theme park. Examples of past outdoor kitchens include:
