Orlando Science Center, Orlando Museum of Art, and Orlando Shakespeare Theater have come together to support adults with developmental disabilities through a series of classes that explore the connections between art and science. Each month, participants visit a different venue to engage in a friendly environment designed to promote learning and discovery. Ninety-minute workshops will engage participants in hands-on activities and experiences tied to an art exhibition, exhibit hall, or performance. January 30: Orlando Museum of Art February 27: Orlando Shakespeare Theater March 27: Orlando Science Center April 24: Orlando Museum of Art May 29: Orlando Shakespeare Theater ********** COST Each program is $15 per participant. Star-Studded Evenings are your opportunity to experience some of Orlando Science Center's programming after dark! Learn a little more about our place in outer space through the Crosby Observatory, weather permitting. Our 10″ Byers refracting telescope is used to look at various celestial objects, depending on what is visible in the night sky during the season, as well as 8″ and 10″ reflecting telescopes. Our knowledgeable staff can even give you tips on how to stargaze at home! Also, check out a stellar movie in the Digital Adventure Theater before or after your stargazing. To find out what films will be playing, go to osc.org/theater-schedule. NOTE: Exhibit halls will be closed during Star-Studded Evenings. ********** DATES Star-Studded Evenings are offered from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday nights through February 24 (excluding January 12-13). ********** COST Star-Studded Evenings are free for Orlando Science Center members or $10 for the general public.
