What’s New at Busch Gardens Tampa 2018?

Known for exciting animal expeditions and scream-inducing thrill rides, Busch Gardens Tampa is planning some epic additions for this calendar year. Wondering what’s in store at Busch Gardens Tampa 2018? Read on.

Vanish Point at Adventure Island

Continuing to strengthen their reputation for exhilarating rides and attractions, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is adding a free-fall waterslide to Adventure Island in 2018. Yes, you read that right. A free-fall waterslide!

Guests will choose between one of two skyboxes, which send them through 425 feet of rushing water slide tubes until they reach the splash run end. However, at the start, guests will plummet down a 70-foot drop slide by having the floor swept out from under them!

Guests who aren’t too keen on dropping randomly down a 70-foot slide can choose the horizontal path. This option boasts a 455-foot long slide ending with a high-speed finale.

This all-new water park attraction is said to use 1,000 gallons of water per minute for the ultimate thrill. The slide is slated to open in March of 2018 and will be centrally located in the park next to Colossal Curl™.

Bier Fest at Busch Gardens Tampa 2018

Also new for 2018, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is bringing a taste of Germany to Florida. Based on the success of the popular festival at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Bier Fest heads to Tampa Bay from August 25th through September 16th, 2018.

Filled with Oktoberfest traditions, theme park guests can sample a variety of beers from around the world on Saturdays and Sundays starting at the end of August. This exclusive festival only runs for four weekends, so you better plan ahead!

On top of a myriad of brews, Bier Fest at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will also include German cuisine, Bavarian music and cultural celebrations, and other activities.
