Universal Orlando Resort just announced today that the opening day for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction will be June 18, 2010. The attraction will be home to The Three Broomsticks Inn, Honeydukes Sweets and all of the other famously unique shops Hogsmeade Village is known for.
This Orlando attraction has been highly anticipated as Harry Potter fans are eager to see what’s in store. The attraction won’t disappoint fans as they will be able to peer into the Gryffindor House, soar on Harry’s broomstick or have a beer a Hog’s Head Pub. The entire attraction was created in close collaboration with J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter books. There has been a lot of detail put into the stunning buildings, from the architecture to the knick knacks displayed.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be located at the Islands of Adventure section of Universal Orlando Resort. It will be included in regular park admission.
One of the main features of Hogsmeade Village is Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It will be home to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, a ride combining 360-degree filming techniques and sophisticated robotics to create the illusion of a magic adventure in flight with Harry Potter and his pals. In addition to this ride, there will be two outdoor roller coasters on the 20-acre Harry Potter attraction.
Universal Orlando Resort tickets are on sale now.
