The Simpsons Hometown of Springfield Comes to Life at Universal Orlando Resort

America’s favorite animated family – The Simpsons – will come to life this summer at Universal Orlando Resort.  Anchored by the attractions The Simpsons Ride, the new themed area will allow guests to immerse themselves in the world of The Simpsons like never before.  You’ll be able to walk through the streets of Springfield and into some of the town’s most iconic places.

Two of the iconic places include Krusty Burger and Moe’s Tavern.   At Krusty Burger, which is located on Fast Food Boulevard, you can taste a krusty-certified meat sandwich and find out why Bart Simpson can’t get enough of the delicious burgers.  You can also snatch the catch of the day at the Frying Dutchman, get a slice at Luigi’s Pizza, go nuts for donuts at Lard Lad, enjoy a “Taco Fresho” with Bumblebee Man and imbibe at Moe’s Tavern.  Duff Beer, the well-known beer featured on The Simpsons, will be brewed exclusively for Universal Orlando and served at Moe’s Tavern.

Along with new restaurants and shops, Universal Orlando Resort will debut a new attraction called “Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n Hurl.”  Designed to be an outdoor, spinner-style ride, the Twirl ‘n Hurl takes “foolish humans” on an intergalactic spin designed to send them into orbit.

Two new Simpson character encounters are planned.  Visitors will now be able to meet Krusty the Klown and Sideshow Bob, along with The Simpsons family, during their day at the park.

Universal has not releases an exact date yet, but The Simpsons area, a.k.a. Springfield, will open sometime this summer.
