Race to the Roar n’ Soar Event at Fantasy of Flight

Fantasy of Flight is hosting the 4th annual Roar n’ Soar November 13 & 14, 2010, from 10am-5pm daily. The event features high energy excitement and thrills from land, sea and air combine with awesome food, entertainment and the world’s great aviation attraction for a weekend the whole family will enjoy.

Featured during this year’s event is the original No. 3 Wrangler Chevrolet Dale Earnhardt drove during the 1987 all-star race will be showcased. This automobile performed the legendary “pass in the grass,” which is one of the most famous moments in NASCAR history.

Other highlights of the Roar n’ Soar event include:

Car Show – Open to classic and vintage cars and trucks from the pre-1985 era.

All-New Motorcycle Show – A Daily bike show will take place and riders will compete in a variety of categories, including cruisers, touring/bagger, stock, trike, antique and custom built.

Slalom – Drivers compete for the fastest time while they race the clock maneuvering through a slalom course on the hangar tarmac. This sanctioned race offers prime spectator viewing and comes to Roar n’ Soar courtesy of The Jaguar Club of Florida and Sun Coast Jaguar Clubs. PLUS, the car show features vintage classic cars by auto icons Jaguar, Austin-Healey, Ferrari, BMW, and Porsche including some of the most unique and exotic automobiles ever made!

R/C Trucks and Buggies – Guests are invited to bring their favorite R/C Trucks and buggies for off-road, dirt slinging, short course fun.

Watercraft – A regatta of classic race boats will be featured on a 1.5 mile oval course on Lake Agnes. Vintage watercraft will be displayed along the shores of Lake Agnes as well.

Aircraft – Some of the world’s hottest vintage aircraft takes to skies during this event to perform aerial demonstrations. Giant scale radio control aircraft, powered paragliders and hang glider pilots will also soar through the skies.
