Face your fears at Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights.  For 28 terrifying nights beginning September 19 Universal Studios is transformed into one of the nation’s most terrifying playgrounds.  See if you can survive haunted houses, electrifying scare zones, outrageous live shows, and other hauntingly good fun.   Winner of Amusement Today’s “Best Halloween Event” Golden Ticket award the last five years, Halloween Horror Nights is the premier Halloween event in Orlando.

Universal Orlando will present Halloween Horror Nights on select nights September 19 through November 1, 2015. The theme for this year’s event is “Your Worst Fears Come to Life.”  The park is taking the Fear theme seriously, and are promising some of the most intense experiences ever.

Think you can handle the hauntingly good times in store?  Read on to find out about the haunted houses, scare zones and live shows planned for 2014.

Three original concept haunted houses are planned:

Giggles & Gore, Inc.:
Witness the torturous process that turns kidnapped people into evil clowns – just try not be transformed into one yourself.

Roanoke – Cannibal Colony: In the settlement of Roanoke the frenzied colonists will rip, tear and devour any fresh meat that comes near them.

Dollhouse of the Damned: Within the decaying walls of this house awaits something evil. The unfortunate souls that enter here will become the damned that never escape.

Character and pop culture driven haunted houses include:

Dracula Untold: Reign of Blood: Your demise could come from bloodthirsty vampires or the attacking Turks as you attempt to survive the terrifying journey that turned the one-time hero into Dracula.

Alien vs. Predator: Get caught in the middle of a savage battle between these two horrific extraterrestrial species and try to avoid becoming collateral damage.

From Dusk Till Dawn: Beneath the neon lit façade of this remote biker bar you’ll discover a labyrinth of death, as an ancient race of
bloodthirsty creatures serve up chaos and carnage.

The Walking Dead: AMC’s The Walking Dead returns in an all-new house based on the series’ most recent season. Experience the event’s
largest house ever with more scareactors than ever before.

Scare Zones:

The Purge: Anarchy: Once you enter The Purge: Anarchy you’ll be lucky to just survive the night. In this unique experience inspired by Universal Pictures’ new thriller, turmoil and pandemonium awaits those vulnerable to masked vigilantes in search of new victims.

Face Off: In the Flesh: You’ll be surrounded by the most terrifying creatures from the minds of some of Hollywood’s most talented Special effects make-up artists in this gruesome, immersive experience.

Maskerade: Unstitched:
Even more horrors fill the streets of Universal Studios as guests are hypnotized by deceptive patrons of a seemingly glamorous ball.  See if you can waltz away unscathed.

Bayou of Blood: Surrounded by voodoo practitioners that fill the snake and spider-infested Bayou of Blood, this scare zone redefines creepy
and crawly frights.

Live Shows:

Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure: Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted “Theordore” Logan return with an all-new, especially
excellent Halloween adventure. Party on as those two most excellent dudes skewer the biggest names in entertainment and pop culture.

Rocky Horror Picture Show: Campy, adult-oriented fun is the theme of the Rocky Horror Picture Show which is returning after a two year absence.
During Halloween Horror Nights, several of Universal Studios’ starring attractions are open too.  Plus, since the haunted houses are the highlight of the event visitors usually have no lines for rides.  Here’s the official list for 2014:
  • TRANSFORMERS The Ride – 3D
  • Despicable Me Minion Mayhem
  • Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
  • MEN IN BLACK: Alien Attack
  • Revenge of the Mummy
  • The Simpsons Ride
  • Kang & Kodos Twirl ‘n’ Hurl

Please note, if you purchase a HHN Express Pass, it works on the rides in addition to the haunted houses.

Halloween Horror Nights Orlando runs Sept. 19-20, Sept. 25-28, Oct. 2-5, 9-12, 15-19, 22-26, 29-31 and Nov. 1. This event is a separate ticketed event and is not included in the regular price of Universal Studio tickets.
