Walt Disney World presents the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights on the Streets of America at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. The event begins November 6, 2015, and ends January 3, 2016. The event is a breathtaking seasonal display featuring millions of twinkling lights perfectly synchronized to holiday music.
The lighting displays are very impressive as they blanket entire buildings in sheets of multi-colored lights, and create scenes of twirling carousels, cherubic angels, and Santa and his reindeer. Approximately every 10 minutes the lights dim and then dramatically relight – dynamically choreographed to traditional holiday music. On select nights, the show is capped off with a flurry of snow for extra holiday magic.
The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights began as a display at Jennings Osborne’s family home in Arkansas. Each year, the family would set up elaborate holiday light displays. Over the years the collection and ideas grew so much they decided to share their magical displays with the world, through Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
This year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, your can enjoy two special experiences as they are surrounded by The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights – the Merry & Bright Dessert Party (Nov. 6-Dec. 30, 2015) and the Merry & Bright Dinner Reception (Jan. 1-3, 2016).
The dessert party includes holiday-themed desserts, while the dinner reception features a selection of small bites, including beef, shrimp, and turkey, as well as wine, beer, and specialty beverages. Reservations for both are open now.
Please note that this season marks the finale for The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, as the park prepares for incredible new experiences, including the recently announced Toy Story Land and a Star Wars-themed land.
