rsz_epcot_food_and_wine_copyrightThe Epcot Food & Wine Festival is an annual event that is the highlight of autumn at Walt Disney World Orlando.  Each year the festival, which is scheduled for September 19 through November 10, 2014, presents a showcase of food adventures, appealing to the culinary enthusiast in all of us.  To keep the festival fresh, Epcot adds new things to do so each year so guests can visit every year and have a different experience.  Ready to find out what is new for 2014?  Read on.

Boot Camp Series:  Go on a two-hour interactive adventure where you’ll explore your culinary talents and gain cooking confidence. Four boot camps are available:
  • Food and Wine Pairings 101, Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson, September 21
  • Chocolate, Graycliff Chocolatier Erika Davis, October 5
  • Cake Decorating, Gabrielle Parisi of Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken NJ, October 12
  • Pickling 101, Allen Susser of Chef Allen’s in Hollywood FL, October 19

All Boot Camps take place World ShowPlace Events Pavilion East Hall from 1:00-3:00pm.  Cost is $119 per person.

Dining Through the Decades:  This special dining experience is themed as “A Tribute to Walt Disney.”  Sample meals, inspired by some of Walt’s favorites, at interactive cooking stations. And enjoy pairing them with wines, each with their own unique Disney connection. Scheduled for October 24, 2014, from 7:30pm-10:00pm.  Cost is $99-$119 per person.

Late Nights LIVE!: Are you ready to party?  This street party transforms Tuesday and Thursday nights during the festival, from 9:45pm to 1:00am.  Each party ticket includes six food and beverage items form festival marketplaces, musical performances, strolling entertainment and a live DJ.  Located between the United Kingdom Pavilion and World Showcase Plaza.  Cost is $79 per person. 

Food for Thought: Gain culinary insights as top celebrity chefs share tips, stories and food inspired by their cookbooks.  The chef schedule is as follows:

All Food for Thought events take place at Epcot’s Festival Welcome Center from 10:00am-11:45am.  Cost is $169 per person. 

Shake and Indulge Like the French featuring Grand Marnier:  Sponsored by Grand Marnier, the bestselling liqueur in France, this event begins with a welcoming mimosa, followed by a sampling of Grand Marnier’s finest: Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge, Grand Marnier 100th Anniversary and Grand Marnier 150th Anniversary. Learn to shake and muddle drinks, and sample crepes and other desserts complimented by the liqueur.  Located at Monsieur Paul in the France Pavilion.  Held on Saturdays beginning September 27, from 2:30pm-4:00pm.  Cost is $55 per person.
Mediterranean Food and Wine Pairing: Immerse yourself in flavor during this Mediterranean dining event.  A five-course dinner is served on the shimmering shores of the Morocco Pavilion, paired with wines perfectly selected to complement each course.  Located at the Spice Road Table in the Morocco Pavilion.  Scheduled for each Wednesday of the festival from 1:00pm-3:00pm.  Cost is $55 per person.

Italian White Truffle & Wine Pairing Dinner: Truffle lovers will want to indulge in this lavish five-course dinner.  White truffles are showcased with skill and creativity alongside a variety of regional Italian wines, all in the atmosphere of an Italian summer villa.  Located at the Tutto Italia Ristorante in the Italy Pavilion.  Scheduled on select Thursdays October 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 6:00pm-9:00pm.  Cost is $295 per person.

Sunday Mornings With…: Celebrate Sundays in style by joining a celebrated pastry chef or baker for a plated brunch, complete with a decadent dessert sampler.  The schedule is as follows:

Back to Basics:  Learn how to turn basic food creations into epicurean delights.  During Back to Basics you’ll be able to collect advice from the pros that will make your next recipe really pop!  This event is free with Epcot admission.  Located at the Epcot Festival Welcome Center Fridays through Sundays at 12:15 PM, 2:15 PM, 4:15 PM and 6:15 PM.
Party for the Senses featuring Disney Chefs From Around the World: Experience a sensory explosion as you indulge in culinary creations from around the globe. You’ll be guided by professional chefs on a journey through the United States, Asia, Europe and beyond.  There are three ways to experience the Party for the Senses, with prices per person ranging from $149-$299.  Located at World ShowPlace Events Pavilion on October 25, 2014, from 7:30pm-10:00pm.
