New Attractions at SeaWorld will Feature All-New Immersive Experiences

SeaWorld Orlando recently announced the three new attractions they will introduce over the course of the next two years.  Billed as “The Wave of the Future,” this expansion is the largest in SeaWorld history.

TurtleTrek is one of the new Orlando attractions debuting at SeaWorld.  Scheduled to open in the Spring of 2012, TurtleTrek combines up-close animal encounters with state-of-the-art entertainment.  Visitors will visit two habitats, one filled with hundreds of freshwater fish and manatees, and the other home to more than 1,500 saltwater fish and more than a dozen sea turtles.  From there, guests enter a domed theater where they will encounter an experience never before seen at any theme park.  The unique, 360-degree theater creates an immersive atmosphere as a hyper-realistic 3D movie is shown all around and above SeaWorld theme park visitors.  The film follows a sea turtle and showcases a turtle’s view of the ocean’s wonders.

Antarctica – Empire of the Penguin will open in 2013.  The area will feature Wild Arctic, a simulated jet copter ride taking guests to the frozen north, where they will dive into a world of polar bears, beluga whales and walruses.  Through this experience, visitors will experience life on ice through the eyes of a penguin, complete with state-of-the-art interactive ride technologies.

Start planning a SeaWorld vacation today to experience world-class attractions, rides, shows and animal encounters.
