More Ways to Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Orlando

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay welcomes the New Year with entertainment and fireworks on Wednesday, and builds up to the celebration with parties tonight through Tuesday. The festivities are included in park admission: $67.95 for adults and $57.95 for children.

SeaWorld Orlando is throwing a big party on Wednesday complete with Michael Andrew & The Atomic Big Band performing at Bayside Stadium, followed by fireworks. Visitors may dance to the beat of a DJ as the countdown to 2009 begins at The Waterfront section of the park. At midnight, fireworks will light up the skies. The party is included in daily admission: $69.95 for adults; $59.95 for children.

Universal CityWalk: This 30-acre entertainment complex by Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure hosts a party with the Doobie Brothers, a buffet, champagne toast and live entertainment at its nightclubs. Advance tickets are $119.99; $124.99 after Tuesday.

Walt Disney World: The parks bid farewell to 2008 with a variety of events. Epcot features DJs and evening dance parties throughout World Showcase as well as a special presentation of the “Illuminations: Reflections of Earth” lights, lasers and fireworks display. Disney’s Hollywood Studios offers multiple presentations of the show Fantasmic! and also a special “Lights! Camera! Happy New Year!” fireworks spectacle. The Magic Kingdom features special presentations of the “SpectroMagic” parade and multiple nighttime fireworks displays, including “Holiday Wishes” and “Fantasy in the Sky” at midnight. The events are included in regular park admission: $75 for adults, $63 for children.
