LEGOLAND Florida to Add Water Park & Hotel to Theme Park

LEGOLAND Florida may have just opened on October 15, 2011, but they are already planning to add a water park and themed hotel to the theme park.

The water park is scheduled to open in May.  Although plans have not been finalized yet, LEGOLAND did say it will feature LEGO elements, including the ability to build your own LEGO raft and float down a river.

The LEGOLAND water park will require an upgrade to the regular LEGOLAND Florida ticket.  It too will be geared towards kids ages 2-12.

The LEGOLAND hotel will open in 2014 or 2015, creating a multiday destination for families.  The addition of the LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park makes an Orlando vacation even more appealing, as the well-designed park caters to young children and focuses on their fun.
