I-Drive 360 Attractions Include Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds and Sea Life Aquarium

It goes without saying Orlando attractions are some of the best in the nation.  This concept continues with the unveiling of I-Drive 360 (previously I-Drive Live), which will open on International Drive in spring 2015.  The complex will be home to several Merlin Entertainment attractions, including The Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds and Sea Life Aquarium.

At the heart of I-Drive Live is The Orlando Eye.  Similar to the iconic London Eye, Orlando’s version s smaller yet still provides excellent views of Central Florida all while enclosed in air-conditioned glass capsules.  Visitors will have room to move around and take photos too, as each capsules holds 15 people.
Famous for their life-like celebrity wax figures, Madame Tussauds pays tribute to iconic celebrities and historical figures.  The attraction, sized at 25,000 square-feet, will have themed rooms featuring a Red Carpet Arrival, A-List Party, History and Leaders, Modern Leaders, Sports, Music, Authentic History and more.  Visitors will also learn the history of Madame Tussauds and how wax figures are made, as well as be able to create a wax hand cast as souvenir.
Sea Life Aquarium embraces the underwater adventures and landscapes of Florida, with experiences featuring the wetlands and swamps around Lake Apopka, the colorful Florida Keys and the sandy shores of the Gulf of Mexico.  Heavily influenced by the southern environment of the sunny state, displays will feature colorful fish, sharks, jellyfish, sea horses and more.  Both children and adults will enjoy weaving their way through winding tunnels, bubble aquariums and floor-to-ceiling tanks teeming with aquatic life.   Educational components will add to the things to do at the 25,000 square-foot indoor aquarium.  In total, there will be over 5,000 sea creatures and over 30 displays. A 360 degree underwater ocean tunnel and interactive touch pool experiences are sure to be highlights of the new Orlando attraction.

In addition to these three anchor attractions, I-Drive 360 will be home to numerous dining and shopping options.  I’ll keep you updated on announcements on I-Drive 360 as they become available.
