The holiday fun begins at the Magic Kingdom, where new “The Magic, The Memories, and You!” will be updated with a holiday edition, projected onto Cinderella’s Castle. The holiday version of the show features colorful bows, gift paper and ribbons, ornaments, candy stripes, multi-colored lights, and gingerbread. The Magic Kingdom also hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on 19 select nights. The after-hours event offers Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Holiday Wishes fireworks, special meet and greets with Disney characters, free cookies and hot cocoa, and access to several of the Magic Kingdom’s attractions. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is scheduled for November 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 18, 27, 29, 30 and December 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16 and 18, 2011, from 7pm until midnight. Mickey’s party does require a separate admission and is not included with the purchase of Disney tickets.
The Candlelight Processional is the highlighted events at Epcot, where celebrity narrators retell the Christmas story accompanied by a mass choir and 50-piece live orchestra. Candlelight Processional takes place of each evening November 25-December 30, 2011. Some of the celebrity narrators include Neil Patrick Harris, Blair Underwood, Trace Adkins and Whoopi Goldberg. Holidays Around the World is celebrated through the park’s World Showcase, where international storytellers shared traditions and tales about their homeland. Every evening, “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” lights up the sky for a fireworks finale.
Disney Hollywood Studios presents the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights November 10, 2011-January 2, 2012. Millions of dancing lights, animated displays and synchronized sets fill the park.
The Animal Kingdom features Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade, as well as Santa Goofy’s Holiday Village at Camp Minnie-Mickey. Visitors have access to character meet and greets and carolers will be singing everyone’s holiday favorites.
