A SeaWorld Christmas in Orlando is a fun event the whole family will enjoy. From November 26, 2010 – January 2, 2011, SeaWorld will feature spectacular festivities and unforgettable experiences that celebrate the holiday season. Festivities include a dramatic holiday simulator ride, special Shamu Christmas show, special activities on The Waterfront and a holiday fountain show. Christmas at Sea World is presented Friday-Saturday November 26-December 12, and nightly December 17-January 2.
SeaWorld encourages guests to hop aboard The Polar Express Experience for a magical trip to the North Pole. SeaWorld’s Wild Arctic simulator transforms into a thrilling expedition to fabled Santa Town. Classic scenes from the movie and book of the same name, written by Chris Van Allsburg, are recreated for a multi-sensory experience that immerses passengers in special lighting, scent, and sound and motion effects. Guests will find themselves in a winter wonderland surrounded by holiday cheer, beluga whales, polar bears and walruses. The delicious smell of Christmas cookies fill the air and twinkling lights dazzle on a festive tree as families greet Santa and share a magical holiday moment.
Another attraction that is sight to see is the Sea of Trees. Stroll through a wintery wonderland of holiday trees that sparkles to music and lights up the waterfront. The lights literally dance to music, creating a Christmas treat for all.
Holiday shows at Sea World include Shamu Christmas…Miracles, Winter Wonderland on Ice!, A Sesame Street Christmas, and Clyde & Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas.
Shamu Stadium presents Shamu Christmas….Miracles, a captivating show that helps guests celebrate the holiday season as Christmas carols, bright lights and glowing candles fill the stadium. The 22-minute show comes to life daily at SeaWorld.
Winter Wonderland on Ice!, at the Bayside Stadium, is an ice skating extravaganza featuring that is highlighted by water fountains, fireworks and cutting edge skate routines.
Holiday Reflections: Fireworks and Fountains Finale celebrates the season with soaring fountains, luminous lights and festive fireworks, choreographed to popular Christmas carols.
The spirit of the season is also celebrated at the Makahiki Christmas Luau, a south seas-style festivity that includes authentic Christmas music, costumes and dance reinterpreted with Polynesian rhythms. A delicious island-inspired dinner is served during this production.
Park guests will also want to stroll along The Waterfront to explore the shops, listen to the harmony of the carolers and share their Christmas wishes with Santa. Nightly snow flurries fall upon guests, creating a wonderful holiday environment.
