Busch Gardens Celebrates 50th Anniversary

Busch Gardens Tampa is celebrating its 50th anniversary every night this summer with a special event called “Summer Nights.” The “Summer Nights” event offers extended hours at the park, special entertainment and unique food and drink, every night through August 16. The party starts each night at 5pm, when DJ stations situated throughout the park draw crowds with dance music, hula hoop contests and other various entertainments.

There is also a new show at Busch Gardens Tampa during its Summer Nights Celebration. “Siegfried and Roy present Darren Romeo the Voice of Magic” is a Vegas-style production that mixes magic and music to create a distinctive show that has Romeo levitating his assistant while singing selections from “Phantom of the Opera,” among other amazing tricks and song selections. The show performs at the Moroccan Palace Theater every evening except Wednesdays.

There’s also a new exhibit that honors Busch Gardens 50th birthday. Hundreds of items, including photos, souvenirs and artifacts from the park, are on display. A 70-foot timeline features photos dating from the park’s beginnings as a bird gardens and brewery tour to its present status as a world-renowned adventure park. The exhibit is located between the Crown Colony House Restaurant and the Clydesdale Hamlet. It is open during regular park hours and is included in park admission.
Park hours for Summer Nights are extended until 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and until 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Busch Gardens tickets are on sale now.
