I love travel. Three simple words yet they encompass so much more to me. Experiencing new places, meeting new faces, exploring other cultures and unique attractions, and tasting the local cuisine. These are just a few of the reasons travel is so valid to living. When you go, see and do you discover more than just a destination. Many times you discover yourself.
I’m passionate about all aspects of travel, and consider myself an avid vacation enthusiast. After catching the travel bug early, I had girlhood dreams of road tripping through the United States and visiting America’s iconic cities. Working for Reserve Direct has allowed me to see some of the best destinations America has to offer – Orlando, Florida among them. In fact, I’ve become an Orlando travel expert due to my many experiences in Central Florida over the course of 10 plus years. I’ll never forget the first time I walked Main Street U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom or stood in front of the magical majesty of Cinderella’s Castle. Running to meet Goofy, hugging Mickey Mouse, conquering the terrifying Tower of Terror – these are among my favorite Disney World memories.
Orlando offers so much more, though, and I’ve tried to see and do it all. High-speed thrills aboard the Incredible Hulk Coaster at Universal Orlando Resort, up-close animal encounters at SeaWorld and unique, out-of-the-ordinary experiences like indoor skydiving and airboat adventures have all been checked off my Orlando to-do list. Yet, there’s still more memories to make.
A Southwest Missouri native, I earned a degree in English with an emphasis in Mass Media from Missouri State University. This aided in launching my career as Reserve Orlando’s travel expert, a content and social media focused position that entails visiting all of the company’s vacation destinations to find the best travel tips, money-saving deals and insider information. With over 10 years of experience in first-hand travel adventures, I share stories, advice, and current events to help you stay in the know. My familiarity with the travel consumer has given a special insight into understanding the needs and desires of travelers, allowing me to tailor perspectives to cut through the marketing fluff and deliver honest, insightful commentary on travel destinations.
Many times people ask me for travel advice. The best advice I can give is “Just go.” Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer. Invest in yourself, your family and your memories. In between the hustle and bustle of life, schedule time for exploration and new adventure. And remember, we travel not to escape life but for life not to escape us.
