The Orlando Eye, the wheel attraction anchoring the new I-Drive 360 Complex, has announced a grand opening date.

Visitors to Central Florida will be able to take a ride beginning May 4, 2015.

The 400-foot Orlando Eye is the largest wheel on the East Coast. The large, enclosed capsules in which you ride hold up to 15 people and provide a climate-controlled atmosphere to view the Orlando sights.

Along with the Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and SEA LIFE Aquarium will open on May 4.

Orlando Eye tickets are on sale now. Ticket prices range from $18-$32 per person.

March 1 – April 18:  Universal Orlando Resort’s Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando combines electrifying concerts, a dazzling parade, delicious Cajun cuisine and plenty of authentic New Orleans musicians to create one of the biggest parties in Orlando, Florida.

March 1-6: Busch Gardens Real Music Concert Series
This longest running concert series returns Wednesdays through Saturday’s beginning in January. Listen to live music that will span the decades from the 1930s-1970s. Concerts are held each day at 11:30am, 1pm, and 3:30pm. Concerts are included with regular Busch Gardens admission, but reservation tickets are required to guarantee a seat.

March 1-8: Florida Strawberry Festival
The strawberry is at the center of this festival, served up in a variety of desserts and dishes.  Celebrate American traditions through fun contests and top-notch entertainment.  Enjoy exhibits of agriculture, commerce, industry, livestock, fine arts, horticulture and crafts.

March 4 – May 17:  Annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival
Epcot guests will be treated to topiaries, garden displays, seminars by celebrity HGTV designers, a stellar line-up for the Flower Power Concert Series and a gorgeous butterfly house during the annual International Flower & Garden Festival at Walt Disney World.

March 6-15:  Bike Week Orlando 2015
More than 100,000 Harley-Davidson enthusiasts from across the globe turn out for this annual event, headquartered at the Orlando Harley-Davidson Historic Factory Dealership, a detailed re-creation of the 1910 factory and the 1903 “shack” in which the Harley legend was born.  Festivities include live music, games and shows.

March 7-28:  Bands, Brew & BBQ at SeaWorld Orlando
This annual SeaWorld festival continues during March with plenty of barbeque, beer, and bands.  Bands, Brew & BBQ is included with park admission. With a special salute to America’s Heroes, SeaWorld will have special discounts and offers for all enlisted men and women and retirees from the military.

March 16-March 22: Arnold Palmer Invitational
One of the crown jewels of the PGA Tour, the event annually attracts one of the strongest international fields of the season. Cost $47 per day/per adult.

March 20: 7thth Annual Wine and Seafood Festival
Located at Lakeridge Winery, this This signature event features local artists and crafters displaying their work. Lakeridge wine, beer, soft drinks and a variety of tasty seafood specialties will be available for purchase, along with complimentary Winery tours and tasting.

March 20-22: Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival
The three-day event also features show-stopping jazz, children’s activities, great eats and over 200 juried artists.

Epcot_flower_gardenGet ready to groove to the sounds of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s! The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival at Disney World Orlando has announced its lineup for the Flower Power Concert Series.

The 2015 line-up includes:

  • March 6-8: Gin Blossoms
  • March 13-15: Pablo Cruise
  • March 20-22: En Vogue
  • March 27-29: Starship
  • April 3-5: The Orchestra starring former members of ELO
  • April 10-12: The Village People
  • April 17-19: Jon Secada
  • April 24-26: The Guess who
  • May 1-3: Taylor Dayne
  • May 8-10: Little River Band
  • May 15-17: Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone

All concerts are included with Epcot tickets and are located at the America Gardens Theatre. Show times are 5:15pm, 6:30pm ans 7:45pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
