|It’s time to prepare for battle as the Decepticons try to take over Earth. Transformers: The Ride 3D is officially open at Universal Orlando Resort and you’re invited to an action-packed adventure in the form of a new, multi-level simulator ride putting you in the heart of the fight between the Autobots and Decepticons.
The battle begins when guests enter the NEST facility – the headquarters for the government operation that partners with the Autobots to protect Earth from the Decepticons. While inside, they are recruited to help protect the AllSpark – a powerful energy source that would allow the Decepticons to destroy the planet. Guests board EVAC – an Autobot created exclusively for the attraction – to transport the AllSpark to safety. Beware, though, because the Decepticons are in close pursuit.
Every detail has been finely tuned to create an immersive Transformers environment. At the queue pre-show guests walk through an interactive area designed to look like an elaborate control room. Excitement is built with characters like General Morshower and Autobot Ratchet appearing on screen. In the control room, you are “recruited,” prepared for battle and soon thereafter board, armed with 3D glasses, a 12-person Autobot named EVAC. The 4-minute battle is set in the dark streets of Chicago. It comes to life thanks to incredible special effects and stunning visuals that put you up close and personal to Autobots like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, and Ironhide while Decepticon encounters include Megatron, Ravage, Sideways, Grindor and many more.
Reserve discount Universal Orlando tickets to experience the all-new Transformers: The Ride 3D.
SeaWorld is planning to celebrate their 50th anniversary in a big way with a year-long celebration featuring new shows, more up-close animal encounters and a Surprise Squad treating guests with prizes every day. The 50th anniversary fun begins March 21, 2014, and visitors can expect a sea of surprises during their SeaWorld visit. All of the SeaWorld family of parks will join in on the celebrations, including the one located in Orlando, Florida.
Highlights of the 50th anniversary celebration include:
SeaWorld San Diego will celebrate 50 years with a new interactive entrance plaza. The area will be called Explorer’s Reef™ and will open in March for the celebration kick-off. The 16-month construction project will transform the existing front gate area through sculptural and design elements inspired by waves crashing over a reef, as well as up-close encounters with marine life. The new front gate concept will replace existing ticket booths with a beach-themed, concierge-style ticketing area that will provide guests with a single location to purchase admission, as well as sign up for tours, animal interactions and dining experiences.
As part of SeaWorld’s 50th Celebration, there will be more surprise encounters with animal ambassadors throughout the day at all SeaWorld park locations. A pair of Magellanic penguins, a lemur, or even a parade of flamingos could surprise guests at any moment at all three SeaWorld locations.
What’s a celebration without surprises? The SeaWorld “Surprise Squad” will roam the SeaWorld parks giving away prizes and special gifts. Guests could receive exclusive access to rides or behind-the-scenes experiences, celebration t-shirts or Shamu-themed merchandise, reserved show seating and more.
SeaWorld is known for amazing animal shows and each park will have something new for the 50th celebration. Even park pathways will come to life with spontaneous entertainment at unexpected moments, including performers with sea-inspired costumes and props, a bubble brigade and splash mob.
To underscore SeaWorld’s commitment to the environment and passion for protecting the ocean, a series of giant sea life sculptures will be displayed throughout the parks. SeaWorld commissioned environmental art group Washed Ashore for the large-scale art created from ocean debris. The works serve as a reminder that our animal friends need healthy environments.
As part of its continuing commitment to new technology that enhances the guest experience, SeaWorld’s 50th Celebration will include new ways for fans to connect to the parks and each other though digital devices. The parks will be launching a variety of enhancements, from interactive apps that provide fun new ways to experience the park to new games and video content.
More details will be announced regarding SeaWorld’s 50th anniversary celebrations as the date draws nearer.

When you visit Walt Disney World Orlando there is so much to see and do you’ll probably want to spend a couple of days exploring all of the parks. Each park has something special to end the day of fun. The Magic Kingdom has one of the best end-of-the-night shows. It changes frequently but currently “Celebrate the Magic” is the fireworks and projection show featured at Magic Kingdom.
The show – which replaced “The Magic, The Memories and You” – focuses on Disney’s long history of storytelling through film and animation. The show begins with Tinker Belle flittering around the castle. After sprinkling some pixie dust, the art of Disney’s famous animation comes to life. Scenes from various Disney films are painted across the castle, including favorites from Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo and The Lion King. Even new additions from movies like Wreck-It Ralph, Brace and Toy Story are featured.
Seasonal updates are a big part of the show, too. Favorite Disney couples are a highlight around Valentine’s Day while Disney villains make the cut during Halloween. For summer 2013, you can hit the beach with Lilo & Stitch and The Little Mermaid.
