The 6th annual Orlando Film Festival features events in and around downtown Orlando. It celebrates independent film and seeks to inspire student, future and current filmmakers.

Avatar Land is coming to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
The movie “Avatar” created a world audiences wish to discover again and again, which is exactly what the new attraction at Disney World aims to do by bringing Pandora to life.

Avatar Land will feature multiple “lands” or areas, and will be located in the Animal Kingdom section of the park. Construction will begin on the first land by 2013. The Animal Kingdom is the perfect fit for the new attraction, as the it emphasizes living in harmony with nature, a philosophy found in “Avatar.”

The themed lands will continue to grow as the movie franchise grows, as there are two new “Avatar” films currently in development. More locations, characters and stories will be explored, adding to the experience guests can except at Disney World Orlando.

Death Drums: A seductive, hard-hitting and raw extreme drumming experience.

Legoland Florida is set to open on October 15th.

The park is located in Winter Park, which is just a bit north of Orlando. To accommodate families who are experiencing all of the Orlando attractions available, Legoland will be offering shuttle service from Orlando to Legoland and back.

The Legoland Shuttle will be available for $5, roundtrip, per person. The $5 price is a special preview price, and with the regular price for the shuttle expected to be $10. Reservations are needed for the shuttle. To ensure a seat, guests must book their shuttle ride ahead of time on the Legoland website.

The shuttle will depart daily at 9am from Orlando Premium Outlets and return that evening once the park closes. The ride is approximately 45 minutes, each way.
