Universal Studious GlobeUniversal Orlando Resort has launched an all new Mobile App for your mobile geared towards creating a more interactive theme park experience. The App is available as a free download for Apple and Android devices.

The App relied on GPS to provide detailed information relevant to your location within the park. You’ll be able to discover nearby attractions, dining and guest services, as well as learn new facts about Universal Orlando and its famous attractions. The App will also have a check-in feature and will allow for guests to reserve a table at their favorite Universal Orlando restaurant.

Busch Gardens is celebrating Summer Nights with extended park hours and special entertainment. Plus, guests will have the opportunity ride the all-new Cheetah Hunt roller coaster in the dark. The Kinetix Show also returns for Summer Nights in 2011.

During Summer Nights, which is happening now through August 14, the park will stay open until 9pm Sunday-Thursday, and until 10pm Friday and Saturday. Jungala, Stanleyville and Gwazi Plaza will be home to Party Starters DJ Stations where music, dancing and games will be available, with dance contests on Fridays and Saturdays. Dancers compete in three rounds, with the audience deciding who wins free Busch Gardens Tickets.

Kinetix will perform nightly at 9pm in Gwazi Park and include live music, singers, dancers and artists from around the world. “Cool Illusions featuring Christopher Cool,” with magician Christopher Cool, will be performed Tuesday through Sunday at the top of each hour from 5pm to 8pm.

Discovery Cove, the Sea World world-class aquatic park, has opened The Grand Reef inOrlando. This all-new area features multiple levels of exploration, including everything from white sandy beaches with shallow water to a helmet dive adventure.

One of the highlights of The Grand Reef are the snorkeling opportunities available. Many of the areas of the reed are only a few feet deep, making it a safe environment for families. Unique elements like reef sharks and lionfish safely stationed further out in the reef create an authentic atmosphere. There are also paths and bridges to the reefs grotto that provide different access points.

SeaVenture is the exciting new helmet dive adventure that provides guests a whole new look at life under the sea. Guests will go on a walking tour while wearing dive helmets through the reef, which will include elements like schools of fish, rays and other unique sea creatures.

Busch Gardens is creating an all-new experience at their Orlando Theme Park. This winter, guests will be able to observe and take part in animal care in an all-new way the state-of-the-art facility. The Animal Care and Nutrition Center will be located in the Nairobi area of the park.

The Center will have two main facilities, one that caters to animal feeding and diet; and a treatment center guests get the rare opportunity to observe a veterinarian perform checkups, treatments and surgeries. Guests are encouraged to speak with the vet and ask questions as they work.

Other elements of the new Center include interactive elements like letting guests assist with preparation and delivering of food to animals as well as a diagnostic exercise, in which they run an animal through several stations, from diagnosis to recovery.

Orlando Theme Parks are hosting special Orlando 4th of July events celebrating our nations Independence Day.

Disney World 4th of July:

Magic Kingdom – “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” is presented on July 3 and July 4 at 9pm. The fireworks will be followed by the Main Street Electrical Parade on both nights.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios – A “Rockin’ 4th of July Celebration” is presented at Disney’s Hollywood Studios where musical group Mulch, Sweat and Shears take guests on a journey through America, performing each region’s contribution to rock ‘n roll. The show starts at 9:45pm and includes fireworks, lighting and special effects. A Rock ‘n Glow Dance Party will also take place in front of the Sorcerer Hat from 7:30pm-10:30pm and special showings of Fantasmic! are schedule for 9:00pm and 10:30pm.

Epcot – Epcot features the “Voices of Liberty 4th of July Concert,” with an expanded cast performing a patriotic salute including the Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps and Disney Characters, on the American Gardens Theatre stage at 12:30pm, 1:45pm and 3:00pm. Meet and greets are also scheduled with historic icons such as Benjamin Franklin and Betsy Ross, as well as Disney characters in patriotic dress at American Adventure. The park is also hosting a special performance of Illuminations: Reflections of Earth at 10:00pm. The theme will be “The Heartbeat of Freedom” and will feature an overture of traditional American themes displayed through pyrotechnics and laser lights.

SeaWorld 4th of July:

The aquatic themed park celebrates Independence Day with a special Fourth of July “Reflections” show that features additional fireworks timed to patriotic music. Leading up to the show, the 13th Army Band, of the Florida National Guard, will perform at Bayside Stadium. Known as the Governor’s Band, the group will entertain guests will current and classic songs. The show is set for 9:45pm and the all events are included with the price of SeaWorld tickets.

Universal Orlando Resort 4th of July:

Local band Blue Stone Circle will perform all night on the Music Plaza Stage, starting at 5:00pm. Special patriotic character appearances are also planned throughout the night, with a special showing of the Universal360 show scheduled for 9:00pm. The show features movie highlights and music from some of Universal’s most popular films, and will have a special patriotic finale on Independence Day. Events are included with Universal Studio tickets.

LEGOLAND has officially announced the opening of the World’s Largest Legoland, located in Orlando, Florida. The park will debut Saturday, October 15, 2011.

The new 150-acre theme park is specifically designed for kids ages 2-12, although there is something for everyone to enjoy. They will be more than 50 rides, including roller coasters and race cars, as well as family-oriented shows and attractions.

Kennedy Space Center has launched a Sci-Fi Summer Spectacular for guests, a celebration of the last 50 years of human spaceflight and science fiction. Star Trek: The Exhibition is an interactive exhibit featuring authentic Star trek artifacts from the last 45 years, one-of-a-kind costumes, and props and filming models from the television series and movies.
