We booked well in advance for this evening out...or rather we thought we did. By an oversight, it seems we had reserved our table for a date in October, on the actual day of booking, instead of for a night in December, when we actually wanted to dine. Arriving early (luckily) we were met by mystified faces..."Sorry - no booking in that name tonight." Disappointment all round. Youngest grandchild: "Aren't we going to see the circus, then, Mummy?" By good fortune, a table was free, and we were able to be admitted after all. You have been asked to arrive well before the advertised show-time, and for very good reason, as it turns out. As you enter the auditorium you find yourself in something resembling a bierkeller, with a bar on one long side and a small stage facing it on the other. Gaudily-costumed waiters and waitresses guide you to your table, ply you with drinks, and take your food order. They seem genuinely thrilled to see you, as though your patronage was more than they could conceivably have hoped for. When the time comes round for the show to start, the circus music blares, the stage lowers itself on hydraulic rams, and, to your amazement, the waitress who has just asked if your beer was at the right temperature flashes you a last smile, jumps onto the still-descending stage, and begins to sing, lustily, along with the rest of the waiting staff. Opening number over, it's down off the stage again, and back to delivering orders. Several times during the show they will repeat this seemingly effortless piece of multi-tasking, timed to the second, so that the entertainment never misses a beat. The slickness of the role-changing all but takes your breath away. The Cirque Magique show, although small scale, is professional in every respect. There are magicians, dancers, singers, acrobats, clowns and even performing poodles. There is a quick-change artiste who dazzles and some audience-participation which can bring the house down if they choose the right stooge for the job. I was reduced to hysterics when my son-in-law was obliged to join the clowns for a routine with chairs, and I fear I held up the proceedings somewhat with my volley of uncontrolable squeaks, for which I should like to apologise very sincerely. The whole show is a delight, and the food and drink is good, and plentiful. An evening out to cherish. Book now. \

Well, this isn't Barnum and Bailey, but then again, they're going the way of the dinosaur and any comparison would be unfair. What you will find is a show that is pleasing to the young, and the young at heart. The acts were varied and, for the most part, were very well done. The servers are also the performers and the energy level is through the roof. One might fear poor service but amazingly, the servers fill in for each other when an associate is performing. There was no noticeable delay in needs/ requests being addressed. The beer was cold but I'm told that the Margaritas were lacking. As for the food: My burger was what I expected (mediocre) but the seasoned fries were hot and flavorful. The desert was fine. I had the pleasure of watching four of my grandchildren squeal with delight at the antics of the clowns and the dog act. The acrobats and jugglers were mesmerizing. As Bozo said, "Always keep laughing," - and we did !

We didn't know what to expect when we arrived, but it proved to be good family entertainment . The wait staff/performers were very personable, the circus acts were common but good and the food was fine. The dinner was billed as hot dog/burger with fries and onion rings. I was presented with two hot dogs, fries and no onion rings. No matter. The atmosphere was fun and carefree and our two grandchildren, ages 8 and 10, really loved it.

We had a very enjoyable evening at Cirque Magique! When we made our reservation they asked us what we wanted to order - a hamburger, a chicken burger or a hot dog. My husband and I ordered the chicken burger. When it came we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was a big chicken breast burger with fries - delicious! The actors themselves served our drinks and the meals. We were very impressed with the service. My husband asked for a "rye coke, pressed". Of course, the waitress had no idea what he was talking about. She happily offered to bring something else in the event it was not "up to par" at no extra charge. The place was half empty on a Sunday. The actors had the crowd laughing and hooting in no time. We had a great evening. I would recommend this show highly for both adults and children.
