"Birthday treat"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5

My son paid for us to go as a birthday treat. Firstly, it is so cold in the theatre, air con is on full pelt. The show seemed to take forever to start and although I read the reviews before, most stating that it’s a “must see”, I really didn’t enjoy it or find it entertaining. To make things even worse, in the first few minutes the blue men throw marshmallows into each other’s mouth and into the audience. The guy sitting next to me tried to catch one but unfortunately forgot that he had a pint of beer in his “catching” hand and I was covered head to toe in his beer. Made for a very uncomfortable , wet and smelly 1 1/2 hours, not his fault of course it was an accident but by then I couldn’t wait to get home and wash the smell of beer out of my hair and clothes. Would I visit again, no, I don’t think I would recommend either

"Started 25 mins late"

I could be mean and give a 5 star review so other families have to endure the absolutely pointless show, however I am not that tight. I got free tickets through my universal ticket supplier, if I had to pay £50 x 4 for my family I would on the phone to the Samaritans seeking advice. 3 men dresses in blue, catching food in their mouths then spitting it out, I did not get it, some of the crowd were in tears of laughter. I did not get it. Totally, totally pointless show. I have a really good sense of humour but that was dross, and it started 25 minutes late.

"husbands anniversary present"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed September 10, 2018 NEW
We went to blue man group at the end of our anniversary week. My husband had always wanted to go, so I surprised him ,had already bought the tickets. The seats were pretty good, but a worker saw our anniversary buttons from Universal that a worker their gave us, then came back and moved us to center seats behind the poncho section, that was great. The show was very entertaining , had a lot of audience participation, the three guys interact well together , of course near the end the huge balls come down and the people have fun tossing them all over the room. The 3 d technology was very good. The show is very loud with music, so be prepared or bring plugs. more so than I was prepared for, but overall had a good time.

Frequently Asked Questions about Blue Man Group

What is Blue Man Group?
Blue Man Group is a creative organization dedicated to creating excitement-generating experiences for our audience and ourselves.

What age group is appropriate for the show?
One of the great things about seeing Blue Man Group is that it appeals to all ages. Kids will enjoy the lights, color and spectacle. Adults enjoy the humor, social commentary and depth of the character. Even the hardened theatre critic finds a deeper message behind the fun and mess. While the show appeals to a wide audience, it may not be appropriate for all children under 3 years old. Please speak to a theatre usher for details and available child accommodations. For a ticket purchase, an adult must be present with a child.

How long is the show?
The show is one hour and forty-five minutes long with no intermission.

Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code. We suggest comfortable attire and to avoid wearing anything that needs to be dry cleaned due to the possibility of substances from the stage reaching into the auditorium.

What is the poncho section?
The poncho section is the first four rows of seats in the theatre closest to the stage. It is the most “interactive” seating section of the show. If you sit there, you will be provided with a poncho to wear, because the performers work with some materials that splash and can make a mess.Everything in the show is washable so we suggest that you do not wear anything that needs dry cleaning. Sitting in the poncho section does not guarantee that you will get splashed but we provide ponchos as a precaution.

Is your theatre handicapped accessible?
The Blue Man Group Theatre is completely handicapped accessible. We have 13 ADA seats distributed throughout our theatre as singles and pairs allowing for patrons to purchase additional seats next to each ADA location. In addition, the Theatre is equipped with assistive listening and descriptive narration programs for the hearing and visually impaired.

Are concessions available?
The Blue Man Group Theatre lobby provides a full concession counter with an array of snacks, cold beverages and cocktails. Patrons can bring their snacks and drinks to their seats and enjoy them during the performance.

I am sensitive to strobe lights. Should I be concerned? Strobe lights are used during two portions of the show. People sensitive to strobe lights should know this when deciding whether or not to attend the show. (Strobe lights may cause seizures for people with epilepsy.) If people sensitive to strobe lights do decide to attend the show, they should alert the House Manager when they arrive. The House Manager will work with them to help them leave the theatre before the strobes occur, if they request.

Do I need Universal Resort Theme Park Admission to experience the show?
No, you can purchase tickets to see Blue Man Group without admission to the theme parks.

Where is the Blue Man Group Theatre located?
It is located between the Hard Rock Cafe® and the main entrance to Universal Studios Florida®.

Where do I park?
All Universal Orlando guests need to park at the resort parking structure which connects directly to City Walk. Parking is $17. Motorcoach/RV parking is $22 and valet parking is available for $15 for up to 2 hours and $30 for over 2 hours.

Are camera's or video allowed?
No, they are not allowed in the theater or during the show.

What if I'm late to the show?
Late patrons are seated at the discretion of house management at a time when they will not interrupt the show.

Can we meet the performers?
The performers are not always available after the show. The band does come out to greet and visit after the show and occasionally one Blue Man will visit.

How many seats are in the theater?
There are 600 seats total.
