My wife and I booked a stay in the hotel for a quick 2 night stay so we could go to the nearby attractions. When looking for a hotel, we found this one and saw that it was rated as a 4 star hotel and was priced around what we expected to pay for proximity to the parks and being a 4 star hotel. We were excited to stay there because the pictures on the website look very nice with updated rooms. When I pulled into the parking lot I was disappointed to find that the building has a main tower, and then additional hotel rooms attached where you have a common outdoor walkway/balcony that you see in lower quality motels. I shrugged my immediate opinion aside because it was a 4 star hotel after all. I walked into the lobby and smelled a funky musty smell and checked in. I was disappointed to find that I did not have a room in the main tower, but assumed the rooms in the other parts of the hotel were just as nice. I was wrong. When I got to the room it was extremely outdated, had the lowest ceilings I've ever seen in a hotel, and had the overwhelming smell of a can of air freshener that was trying to mask a musty moldy smell. I spent about a half hour in the room thinking I would adjust to it, but it was not going away. The bathroom is small and the tub had the finish near the drain peeling away. Everything seemed dirty and I did not feel right in the room. I notified the front desk worker and she had me moved to another room. Again, I was disappointed that I was just being moved to another similar room. The new room had less of the smell but the same low quality motel feeling with the low ceilings...definitely not a 4 star hotel feeling in the room. I would expect to pay 65 bucks at a motel 8 for what I got. My wife and I then went to dinner and figured we would talk to the manager later since we had a long day of flying. After dinner I went to the desk and spoke to the manager named Deeb who advised there were no updated or nicer rooms available. He was nice and offered to waive resort fees which I accepted. He then said to check in the morning around 10am to see if there were cancellations. This was enough to keep me there that night in hopes of a better room after a long day at the parks. My wife and I tried to sleep but with an elevator around the corner and constantly hearing people get on and off, it was difficult. The next morning I left for the parks but called around 10am like instructed. I called the front desk and explained what Deeb had told me. The worker reported there was nothing available almost right away and he did not sound like he bothered to even check in the computer for anything to help me out. Had I known this would have been the outcome, I would have certainly packed my things and went to a different hotel the night before and asked for a refund. After spending the entire day at the park and having a 6am flight, my wife and I were too exhausted to bother moving hotels and spent another nasty night in the hotel room we had. It was a very disappointing experience. We paid for a 4 star hotel and got a 2 star motel experience. I went back and looked at the photos the hotel has and out of the 60+ showing a beautiful clean updated room, only 2 show what look like the best of the worst block of rooms they offer which are completely different from the dozens of other pictures. Be very, very careful when you book this hotel...or play it safe and don't book here at all. I had never stayed at a Wyndham hotel before and had the image in my mind that they were nice. The rooms here are the opposite, and I would have stayed at a 2 super 8 motel for 50 bucks if I wanted that type of room. We are planning several more trips to the area over the next few months because the parks were great, but we will never ever stay in another Wyndham because of how this experience was.

This hotel was beautiful. It was very clean and the rooms were great. We paid the upgrade for "disney view", I would say that wasnt worth it at all. I was disappointed by the lack of disney and Mickey decor. I did love the location. Disney springs is right around the corner, and is a great time.

"Disney Trip"

My wife and I visited Disney and were looking for an "on-resort" hotel. All of our go-to hotels at Disney were booked, so we looked nearby Disney Springs. The Wyndham hotel is an affiliated property that is in walking distance to Disney Springs and has buses running to parks every 30 minutes and you can take advantage of extra magic hours. If you miss your bus, take the one to Disney Springs and just walk. The hotel staff was great and although our original room wasn't available, they made up for it by comping some of the fees (resort and parking). There is a small Disney store on-site and great coffee in lobby with sandwiches and other grab and go items for quick breakfast prior to park visit. We were there in December, but it looked like they have a nice swimming pool area off of the main tower. Our room was in an older portion of the hotel with exterior entrances on high floor - but there is a newer tower that has interior entrance rooms. When visiting Disney we haven't found that rooms make that much difference so long as they are quiet and have working AC/heat and coffee, since we only come back when park visit is over to sleep and get ready for next day. Overall very good experience.

"Not worth the money"

Reviewed December 16, 2018 NEW
The 4 and 5 star reviews are misleading. Defently not anywhere near that rating Lobby and entrance is grand and first impression is wow nice hotel BUT thats it! Rooms are small and dated. No matter what wing you stay in. 1970’s with multiple coats of paint. Wallsare thin as you can here people talking next door and heretoliet and water from room above. They charge $18 /day to park, charge $25 a day for “resort fee”, breakfast is $20 adult $15 children. Very over priced. First room i was given was in a wing with a broken elevator, i requested a change as nonway i am walking multiple flights of stairs with small childrem and luggage. Guest services were not receptive to chamging rooms but finally did to other wing. Elevator to garden view side was like a small freight elevator. Tried to cancel rest of my stay amd they charge $50 a night to cancel reservations!!!
