"Just ok"

I was kind of disappointed at the room for how much we paid. We upgraded to a balcony room with a view to the fireworks at Epcott. Room was outdated and smelled musty. It wasn't worth the extra money.

My husband and I stayed here for one night to celebrate Valentine's Day. Our experience was wonderful throughout our stay. There are many amenities and fun activities around the Swan and Dolphin Resorts and we had a blast. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Make sure you have s'mores by the white sand beach... It was awesome, and special thanks to the awesome cast member that helped set it up. I forget her name, but she was from Barcelona, and we told her we were going to visit Barcelona so she gave us some great tips. She was great! I will mention that all cast members were wonderful, however, one particular castmember made our stay extra magical. Her name is Jessica from Venezuela and she works in Valet at the Dolphin. She was the very first person that greeted us and made sure we had a great service with valet parking, and it helped set the awesome mood for the rest of our trip. The greatest part was that Jessica was also working the day we checked out and was the last person we said bye to at the resort, and once again she provided us with exceptional service making sure that we got our cars in time and a gave us great experience overall. Awesome!

We've stayed here three times as we've visited the Disney resorts over the years. The best part of this hotel is the location. We are able to walk to Epcot. We found that we didn't like the food in most of the parks, and ended up at Epcot every night for dinner. The kids would get tired and fall asleep in the stroller and we would just walk back without the hassle of getting on a bus or a shuttle. We loved the convenience of the market down stairs for basics such as milk, water, yogurts and to grab a quick breakfast in the morning. Overall the rooms are small and basic. You have to ask for extra towels and toiletries. This didn't bother us too much because we spent no time at the resort whatsoever. One of the other advantages is that it is an SPG property and you can use your starwood points. Overall I would recommend for location alone.

Both the Swan & Dolphin are in excellent location. Right next to Boardwalk and walking distance to Epcot. Fairly long walk to Hollywood Studios but it’s nice to have options. You also have the boats to both of these parks. For other parks and Disney Springs take the bus-LOVED the TV Readerboard addition letting you know when next bus coming. We stayed over New Years and it was extremely crowded and record breaking cold- but still had a excellent time. Thank you to Alexandra Foster for making sure we had connecting rooms for our 3 kids. Housekeeping was superb and we loved having the balcony and serene view of the canal and surrounding area. Thanks for making our trip great!

The hotel is very beautiful. It has amazing amenities for the family. Front desk staff was super friendly and informative, they ensured we knew it all and had so much patience. Clean rooms, great activities for everyone. Super great and friendly housekeeping staff... I may add our housekeeper was the sweetest! The acitivities staff for the children were GREAT, our kids loved the smore's event they had on the white sand location...the staff rocked it. Perfect location! No need to leave the resort, kids had their area and activities and we had ours. Room service meals were affordable our kids loved it! The only one negative thing was the valet and bell services. Valet workers werent as friendly or informative, we had questions and they brushed us off to the next one. My husband had a bell concierge member get our items for which he tipped him. we were told after I got my key that they will be right behind us,we waited in our room for 20 mins in our room and no one came, my husband went back down with our ticket and they gave him a hard time, not wanting to give him our bags, they told him that it could take a bit for them to bring us our items. We ended up bringing it back up ourselves. That was the ONLY thing we disliked. Other then that GREAT stay!

"Not bad, good location"

I've stayed here a few times over the years, and this most recent one was pretty much par for the course. This is on the Disney property, right in the thick of the Epcot resort area, but it is not run by Disney, and that shows. Some pros and cons: Pros: 1. It's a pretty hotel. Nice architecture and light/water displays outside. We did not try the pool, playground or swan boats, so can't comment on those. 2. You're walking or boating distance to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, which is really convenient for theme park visits. You get the extra magic hours perk for staying on the property, too, and your room key gets you free parking if you drive to a theme park. 3. Our room was spacious and had a long-distance view of Magic Kingdom. 4. Housekeeping was very very nice. Super sweet lady! 5. Lots of dining options, most of which are very tasty, if a bit pricey. We particularly enjoy Kimonos at the Swan. 6. There's a Mandara Spa on-site for beauty and spa treatments, if you like that sort of thing. We didn't use the spa on this trip. Cons: 1. There is almost always a convention going on. The lobby is almost always packed for this reason. The wait to check in and get our room on a Sunday evening was about 20 min with 10-12 people in line in front of us. 2. You must pay a resort fee on top of the room rate. Disney-owned hotels don't charge this. Last I checked, it's $28 plus tax per night at the Dolphin. You get things like bottled water and fitness center and internet access for the fee, of course, but it's not like you can decline the fee and the perks that come with it. It's all mandatory. Their website says you get a s'mores kit included in the fee, but no one offered that to us and I didn't see a sign or anything to get it (didn't see it on the website until after we came home so it was too late). 3. You must pay for parking if you bring a car. Disney-owned hotels don't charge this. It's $20/night for self-park and $30/night for valet, I believe. So the parking plus the "resort fee" can make a room here a lot less economical than it might originally seem in comparison to the Disney hotels, what with the extra $48+ per night added in. 4. The self-park area is a LONG walk back to the hotel lobby. It's a hike. Uphill. When you're dragging bags, it can be a slog. Plan accordingly for this very inconvenient parking location (oh, and there are always people who don't want to park further away when the closest lot is full who will park along the curb instead. Some actually blocked in other cars in their selfishness. These jerks don't appear to suffer any consequences for this action.). 5. The room showed its age and/or weaknesses in places. The tile in the bathroom was discolored and chipped. The bath soap is very small. The comforter was decent but the sheets were surprisingly coarse. The windows were pretty small but the blackout curtains worked. My husband did love the towels. We were lucky to be on a corner of the building so we didn't have noisy neighbors. 6. The bed was VERY firm. Like wake-up-with-achy-shoulders firm. I know that's great for some people but it made us very sore. 7. Be careful where you buy your snacks and drinks!!! You can buy a bottled Diet Coke in a lot of places on the property, but weirdly, the cheapest place was the Disney Store, where they were $3.29. In the Fuel shop, they're $3.50, and in Picabu, they were even more than that, I believe. Buyer beware. In the end, the location is the best selling point of this hotel. It's hard to beat staying in the middle of the magic and walking distance to attractions, even with the extra fees tacked on. It doesn't have the "Disney magic" vibe that the Disney-run hotels have, but it's a pretty nice place to stay.
