"Excellent facility and service!"

It was me and husband's first time in Florida and I'm glad we chose to stay in this place since it is very accessible to both Universal and Disney World as well as to other unique destinations in the area! The staff was very accommodating and they sure know what they're doing! Will surely visit next time!

Checked in late night after a 20-hour flight from home. Was given a room on the fifth Floor; walked in and it turns out the room is already occupied: the couple I walked into was terrified and I needed to go back to reception. “Sorry”: Not a Good start at all. The rooms are large but very dated and highly unpractical in design. The shower is in the bathroom and it is positioned at an height of about 5 feet; that is odd as perhaps your kid can fit under but you certainly won’t and this is a business focussed hotel.... Room had a moldy smell and a very old and noisy air conditioning unit; bath products smell like overripe melon; and the room didn’t feel clean and maintained. Maid services continues to knock on your door at 9AM even with the Do Not Disturb sign out. Walls are thin as are hallway doors so you can hear everyone arrive, depart, yell, scream, laugh, vomit, have sex and what more. Elevator is a complete joke: it moves at speeds suggesting it’s energy source is the 7 dwarf’s biking power it at the bottom of the shaft and 6 of them are off today; everyday; every hour; it takes 5 minutes to get from your room to reception... Breakfast is OK (very American) with extremely limited healthy choices. Upon checkout: all these comments where shared: I was promised so Marriott Rewards points as compensation: this didn’t happen as of yet (5 days since checkout) neither did the stay got credited at all. (I am a Platinum Elite Member). I guess hotels in Orlando are just this way because everybody is out in the parks all day and the average guest is family on vacation who “just sleeps here”; for a business stay this is not acceptable in any way. I wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend. At this level it is maybe worth $60 a night.

"Marriott should take their name off this property - hotel is not worthy of having it on its' name."

This is a convention hotel within walking distance to the convention center, restaurants and bars and ideally situated to be a good hotel. Unfortunately, no one at this hotel has a clue about providing the service needed to make it into a good property. As others have stated, the rooms are horribly outdated. They've never changed anything in this hotel - it looks like the same furnishings as when I was here 5 years ago (bad then so I switched next door to the Residence Inn...but decided to give this place a try again.) Aricon units are older and filters need to be changed. Rooms have a mildew/musty smell. Carpet is stained. Curtains are gross to the touch. Bathroom floors have permanent stains with wallpaper falling off the wall. It just goes on and on. Just when I thought the room couldn't get any worse, I was working at the desk one night when something caught my eye. I had ants all over the wall next to the desk. I literally took a tissue and started killing them. After I filled up one tissue, I started on the next and brought it down to the front desk to show them. Speaking of the front desk - this is probably the most frustrating and upsetting part of the hotel. The personnel at the front desk are terrible. They spend ALL and I mean ALL of their time chatting with each other in the office. No one is ever at the front desk and you have to either wait or keeping calling out to get someone to help you. Apart from the Front Desk personnel never being at their station, why is this important? SAFETY. Throughout the night you have strange people wandering the halls putting menu and attraction brochures under your door. What would happen if you were sleeping and your left your door ajar? What would happen if one of these people entered your room? What would happen if one of these broke into your room even if your door was locked? Why are these strangers allowed to wander the hotels? Because NO ONE is ever at the front desk watching who is entering the hotel. Breakfast is really basic. I think there are so many other options near this hotel. Too bad no one who either owns it or who manages cares about the quality and level of service from this property. It could be so much better if they spent the money to upgrade in both the property and staffing.

"Motel 6 caliber"

The front desk staff was wonderful but this place should not have the name Marriott. Should be a LaQuinta or Motel6. This place has old in room air conditioning that rattles, old beds, old carpet, worn furniture, fuzzy tv’s, curtains that won’t close, no hottub, poor parking, mini refrigerators that don’t work, and a lobby that smells of mold. This should not be a Marriott.

"Good space, but a bit dated"

The studio rooms are large and well-maintained, but a bit dated. The bathroom fixtures, carpet and couch need updating. The rooms were clean and the beds were okay. The hotel is in a row of hotels on Universal, so it is a handy location.

SpringHill Suites is in a great location near convention center and the Orlando Eye. The hotel is nice and clean with a good staff. Free breakfast in the morning with excellent choices to meet everyone’s taste. The only thing that I think is a negative is that the rooms looked outdated. Price point for my stay with a friends and family discount for a king suite was a 100.00 a night. I would still recommend this hotel but probably not my first choice on my next visit.
