The Shergill Grand Hotel Conference Center Resort in Winter Haven, Florida offers the perfect setting to soak in some Florida sunshine, and enjoy the beautiful outdoors with an abundance of great sports events and activities.

Guests staying at our hotel always make time to take a relaxing boat excursion in the interconnecting freshwater lakes and canals, try a hand at one of the many fishing spots, or just take in the natural splendor and botanical beauty of Central Florida. Our hotel is also a short drive from major Orlando and Tampa attractions and a two-hour drive to Cocoa Beach and Vero Beach.

Pet Policy: A $15.00 plus tax per pet, per night is required upon check-in. Dogs and cats under 40 lbs. will be comfortable with you in your spacious guest room. They’ll love taking walks with you around our beautiful property and relaxing in your room. We love having them here with you. Please take note that we have allocated certain rooms for our pet-friendly rooms and not all rooms are pet-friendly. Contact the hotel directly with your pet-friendly request. Dogs and cats must be crated if left in room unattended. No pet-friendly suites or tower rooms are available.

Where do I start? I should have known this place was a dump from the moment I stepped into the lobby and encountered the most unprofessional clerk I have ever met. The only positive is the OK lobby decor, which is deceiving. The room was filthy, the bathroom was gross. The door to the room was broken, no AC in the room. A roach infested room. Roaches where on the ceiling. "No Joke". We were so disappointed and in shock that this hotel was rated a 3star. There was no way we would have even dared to lay on the beds. We immediately requested a refund and checked into the Holiday Inn which was only a few more dollars and a much better hotel standard.

Our room was wonderful, with a large porch overlooking the park. We had a microwave and refrigerator. The children enjoyed the hotel being so close to Legoland. While we were on some rides they could see the hotel. They thought the colored blocks on the top of the hotel looked like Legos. This hotel is in the process of being modernized. All of the hotel employees we encountered were very friendly and polite. We had no problems with the elevator, and our main door was on the inside hallway. The free parking and free Wi-Fi were added bonuses. As annual pass holders, we will definitely be returning.

We stayed the night before going to Legoland so that we could be at the gates at rope drop. The location was ideal being only a half mile from the park. After that, there was nothing positive or desirable about this "hotel". To start with, it is a motel, not a hotel. The doors all exit to the outdoors. This may be okay during milder weather, but during December, on a night when the temperature outside reached around 50, it was drafty around the door. The elevator was out of service, but of the 3 floors, they only had a sign on the second floor. No sign on the first or third floors, the ones most likely to wait to use the elevator. Hotel desk staff were unaware the elevator was out of service and directed guests to use the elevator. Ice machines were broken or missing entirely. The only working ice machine seemed to be in behind the front desk. When I went for ice, and informed them about the elevator, one staff member looked at me with disdain like "So? What do you want me to do about it?" I tried to explain that the other desk staff member had directed me to use it and she just nodded and turned away. I later informed the person I had originally spoken with (bumped into her on the way back to my room and she did thank me). The signage from elevators and stairs directing users to the rooms was confusing. You come up the stairs/elevator, see a sign rooms are to the right. You go do and around a corner and end up at a railing with no signs. The landing goes left and them bends around to your right (like a U-turn). You turn left, the rooms are not there, you have to go back and around the U-turn. With the elevator out, there were 3 unmarked places where we had to try to find our rooms and made finding the room alone a frustrating experience while carrying luggage. Although a computer was provided in the lobby, there was no printer available and the only way to print was to email documents to a gmail account and have the desk staff print it behind a wall. So, no way to print secure information including credit card information, business information, or even personal information. It was okay for us trying to print Legoland tickets (fortunately not receipts), but I would not email personal information to print this way. As for the rooms, they were worse than the general upkeep of the facility itself. The carpet was filthy. At one point, we tried to wipe up a spill of water and the tissues came up dirty. They need to be shampooed badly. The outlets were a major concern. Some had layers of old paint, all would not hold plugs without propping up, and all needed to be replaced (all 3 of the easily accessible ones; we did not check the one behind the dresser with the TV). This feels like a fire hazard waiting to become a disaster. The bathroom was also dirty. The bathtub paint was chipped in multiple places and the drain ring was completely rusted and I was not willing to bathe my children there. There was paint on the floor from when they painted the walls, the workmen didn't even bother to clean up the mess. Sloppy cleaning job as there was dirt and dust on the floor along the edges and walls. Makes you wonder how well anything else in the room was cleaned.

Where do I start. The restaurant is next to never open except for breakfast, which seems to also be the only time the bar is open. The room has a serious ant problem.the bathroom was disgusting, dirty shower and toilets like you find in a gas station. The first room the TV didn't work but William the awsome maintenance man tried 3 different ones, each with different issues so I settled on the one where everyone was purple. Weekly rate guest rooms don't have a refrigerator or microwave. Who needs these more, overnight guest or someone staying weekly? The pool gets little to no sun, the pool bar was closed as well as the shop. I asked for a room they didn't require stairs (there is an elevator) and front desk lady says, " It's only 8 or 10 stairs. I'm semi handicapped I CAN'T DO STAIRS! Didn't seem to matter. The second picture is crud around the shower floor mat.

We stayed at Shergill after a day at LegoLand. It's right there so the location is great. The room was small and felt very old. I felt it looked dirty with bugs here and there, my husband disagreed. The bathroom looked like a public bathroom with a power flush instead of a full toilet with a tank. The shower was hot and had great pressure but it looked very old and dirty. Overall I would not stay there again.
