"Hurricane Lodging with Pups"

Ordered out of the Keys prior to Hurricane Irma, we had a difficult time finding lodging that would accept our dogs. This inn did so without question or extra charges. Nearby convention center was great for their exercise and the restaurants in the immediate area allowed us to enjoy many different tastes and levels of service. We did not know when we were going to be allowed back into the keys and the hotel worked with us on a day to day basis to eliminate any worry in that area. We will surely try to stay there again!

"Disgusting, not safe, charged twice and had to fight for money back"

This is probably the grossest room I have stayed in. If there was another room available anywhere I would have left. I immediately went to walgreens to get cleaning supplies. You could see outside under my door and I had tiny lizards entering my room under the door. The front desk told me my card didn't take even though I saw it say accepted and swiped it again. The swipe was for incidentals and the room was prepaid as I explained to them. They charged me twice for the prepaid room. I fought with their corporate office for a week and they still only refunded 1 charge to my account. Other guests in the hotel were there to party, there were people with face tattoos and coolers of beer near the pool so I could not enjoy that, though I wouldn't have it was so dirty. Folks upstairs hanging over the balcony dropping ashes and cigarettes onto my car. Security walked right past it all. This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

Red Roof Inn is so outdated! Bathroom ceiling has water damage, no water pressure from shower, toilet runs! Room needs electrical work.. broken outlet at vanity. Won’t be staying here again... pictures on Booking.com were very deceiving! Stay somewhere else!

"Price on site significantly higher compared to Booking.com confirmation"

The location of the hotel was perfect for the purpose of my visit to Orlando. The costs of holding mail and shipments was higher than expected (USD 10 for holding a letter!). The quality and hygiene were in line with relatively low rate (not too good). However what killed the experience was the fact that the hotel staff, up to the front desk manager, wanted to charge me significantly more than my Booking.com confirmation showed. I was advised to sort it out with Booking. They did not know how Booking calculated the rates but "this was what I had to pay". To make a long story short: It took me a lot of effort, patience and time before it finally was acknowledge that my credit card was heavily overcharged and that a correction was made for over USD 160. Never the word sorry was mentioned after correction was done. The mistakes made and the incredible poor customer service on handling this issue were so basic. In the end we separated as friends, the manager helping me to load my luggage in the airport shuttle, but the damage was done. Why?
