"So much better than we had expected!"

Everything was spectacular but by far, the best parts of the resort for us were the bed (the most comfortable we'd slept on in a while), the breakfast (smoked salmon and made to order omelettes!), and the pool (lifeguards on duty and plenty of lego foam blocks to go around). The grounds were gorgeously maintained and the staff friendly. It is literally 130 steps to the entrance of the amusement park. We will not hesitate to go back!

"AMAZING Experience"

Loved the room, the kids were in awe of the decorations and the treasure chest and gifts were so special to them. The outside area down by the lake is beautiful. Everything including the toilet seats and shower is geared towards kids. Both restaurants were fabulous! Lusuan, the valet, is amazing, what an incredible asset to the hotel. He always had a smile, was very efficient and went above and beyond.

"A+ activities, D- food allergy support"

This beautiful place is so wonderfully oriented toward children. But they are just missing the boat when it comes to the 15 million Americans with food allergies. This is less of an issue when we come to the park for the day, but at the hotel you are captive and have to depend on the food available. I spoke to a wonderful chef at night 9/27 about the morning breakfast buffet. She described accommodations for safety. We arrived the next morning 9/28 within 15 minutes of them opening to avoid causing trouble while busy. The chef was asked to come out and he claimed food was safe that the chef the night before said she wouldn't suggest due to cross contamination risk. I asked about the gluten free pancakes for my Celiac son, he looked at him and begrudgingly said, "You want pancakes?" Of course a small child in that situation says no. It was terrible service and I was afraid to feed him anything but bacon and juice. The customer service of "model citizens" has improved a lot in the last few years. That needs to extend to their food services. The master builder classes were wonderful, the pool was a relief from the heat, the rooms were fun and the minifridge was a great help. The pajama dance party was so much fun, and all the lobby play areas are wonderful for families trying to keep little ones busy. If the food service staff had been helpful, it would have been an amazing time.

"The good, the bad, and the ugly...."

The good: rooms are charming. Our Granddaughter loved her "pirate" room and the Treasure hunt. we also loved the "disco" in the elevators. the Lego "build" classes are great fun for kids. The bonfire for s'mores is also a nice touch. The kids' pj dance party was a fun activity. The bad: the lobby is totally open which means diners in the Skyline Lounge and Bricks restaurant are subjected to constant noise. The kids' activities in that area contribute to the noise level. The ugly: total chaos in the children's play area. kids are only supervised during planned activities. we experienced running, screaming kids throwing Legos, chasing each other with toy swords. An employee should be on duty in that area to reign in the mayhem.
