"Very Nice"
August, 2016
No real complaints here. The front desk personnel were very friendly and personable. The rooms were really nice and cozy. The pool area is great, nice large pool and cool water slides. The only complaint was with the lazy river, a lot of young unsupervised children decide to use it as their own personal pool.

"Very dissatisfied"
July, 2016
The pools were dirty. The bed flipped on me i hit my head. People were fighting in parking lot at midnight. Sprinklers sprayed in our screen house. Pools were not even relaxing they were too hot. People were suppose to have a wrist ban in the pool areas 90 percent of the people were friends of guest with no passes or locals. Had stains on the sheets. Had to wait a extra day for a second pillow. Tv remote did not work in living room.

We really enjoyed the activities provided on the property and around the pool area. The condos were nicely renovated and very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!

Tip: If you plan to use the shuttle service through the resort, be prepared for it to be packed with people. It was worth saving the money on parking, but not a pleasant ride to and from the parks.

"Perfect family fun!"
June, 2016
Our townhouse was perfect! It was clean and had plenty of space for our family of 4! I was pleasantly surprised by some kitchen utensils / dishes (having stayed places like this I brought everything). Our kids LOVED the pool, lazy river and slides. The bartenders at the poolside bar were great (happy hour is cheap!) And made our girls some great Virgin drinks too! We were there during a tropical storm and they did have to close the pool briefly, but reopened asap and security was great in explaining why they had to close. Overall, if we ever go back to Orlando THIS is where we will stay!!!

"Trip of A Lifetime"
June, 2016
As a single mom with two kids and a tight budget, it can be difficult to achieve that memory making vacation. However, through Reserve Orlando, I was successful in just that. Our 7 day, 6 night stay was at fantasy world resorts. Our two bedroom townhome was slightly older, but provided the perfect atmosphere. The kitchen was stocked with a generous supply of flatware, dishware, pots and pans and modern appliances. The downstairs half bath was of moderate size, but the master bath upstairs was huge. A screened in back porch with patio table, chairs, & chaise was the perfect location for morning coffee. The resort was in very close proximity to Disney World and (traffic willing) a short drive from Universal. Even better were the daily activities offered by the resort, the pool and poolside bar (for the weary mom lol). The staff was also phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, they were gracious and accommodating. We arrived before check in, but Concierge Maya provided us with pass cards so that we could access the amenities pending check in. Additionally, after 4 days at Disney/Universal, they provided destination sites that allowed my teenage daughter and pal to enjoy the beautiful beach, while my son and I were able to stare at the massive shuttles and rockets at Kennedy space center. The trip was a great success, Fantasy World provided us with a wonderful home-away-from-home experience, & Reserve Orlando have us the trip of a lifetime at a price that didn't bankrupt my budget - and memories that I had only previously dreamed would be possible.

"Solid stay for sleeps between theme parks"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed October 10, 2017 NEW
Fantasy World goes pretty far over the top with their advertising and marketing photos, though overall we found them to be a solid and useful place to crash while on a whirlwind tour of Universal and Disney. Our condo was partially updated (new counter in kitchen) but otherwise had standard hotel-style furniture (if a bit tired) and some very basic appliances (the coffee pot, blender, and others all looked like the cheapest possible brands/styles). That said, the place was a good size, was generally clean, and had nothing broken or weird. The biggest area their marketing outpaces the reality is in their pools and lazy river, which was filthy and extremely "lazy" -- in fact, our kids reported barely moving at all. Overall this was an affordable, solid mid-range place that was conveniently close to Disney, Universal, the highway, and all kinds of restaurants, grocery stores, and amenities. If you're looking for a place to crash while you zip between theme parks, you can do much worse.

We stayed here at the end of September 2017. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The location is great, close to attractions (20 minutes to Disney and Seaworld) and stores (4 minutes to Walmart and Wawa). The pool area is very nice and the kids loved it, especially the little splash area. When we went it was not crowded at all which I'm sure made the experience better. Check in was fast and easy. The unit was clean and decently stocked with supplies like dishes, pots, etc. They provide a few rolls of TP and paper towels so be sure to buy more when you get here. We liked being able to buy and cook our own food in the unit. The furniture (couches, beds, pillows) are older and not very comfortable. That would be my biggest complaint. The screened in porch was torn from the hurricane (they gave us a sheet listing the various damages from the hurricane when we checked in - screens, mini golf, playground cover were damaged) but it was too humid for me to want to sit outside anyway so no big deal. For the price we got, it was a good value and I would stay here again.

"Not as good as our first visit... Need more attention to detail."
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed September 24, 2017 NEW
We stayed here previously in January, 2015, and it was a much different experience this time. There seems to be a huge lack of detail, and so many small things they could do to make this a "better place". After checking in, and a long day of travel, we popped out to the nearby Walmart to get groceries and settled in to make dinner. My husband opened the cupboards and drawers to find no pots, or pans at all! You would think the cleaners/maid would do an inventory during cleaning. We called the front desk and they brought over some pots and pans in a garbage bag about 15 minutes later. We started cooking and my husband opened the drawer to look for a flipper and there were no cooking utensils! No spoons, no spatulas, no tongs, etc. Sigh. We called the front desk again, and about 15 minutes later they provided us with a garbage bag worth of utensils. We next noticed there was no cookie sheet while we were waiting for our utensils and mentioned when the utensils were brought but it was never brought, and we had to improvise. We then went to sit down to dinner and noticed only 1 stool at the bar, and 4 chairs at the kitchen table. But this is a unit for 6??? We spoke to our extended family staying in another unit and they had like 8 kitchen table chairs, and 4 stools. Do the maids not notice this when they are cleaning the units? It is one thing not to check all the drawers, but do they not clean the floor and notice chairs missing? We fixed the problem ourselves by reallocating another chair from our other family's unit. The unit was clean in the sense the bathrooms and kitchen looked clean, but our socks are all stained now with brown/black on the bottoms. We had brought brand new socks for our trip and they are garbage now. The carpets need a deep clean (and people need more common sense also to not walk around with shoes on!). I know there was just a hurricane, but many of the units (including ours) still had our patio furniture sitting on it's side in the corner. We shouldn't have to set these up on our own. Again, just little attention to detail like that. Our screen on our patio was all damaged and gone. Not sure if it was related to the hurricane or not, but no one mentioned or apologized to us about it. It is great to have a separate room for the kids and two washrooms. And obviously a kitchen and laundry. The master bed was a king size, but really two twins pushed together, which makes sense as the hallway is narrow and they could never get a king size bed up there. Some of the furniture was quite tired. Hinges broken on cupboards, drawers not closing properly, etc. The pool area is top notch. The water slides are fun, but have a strict 48 inch requirement. The lazy river is really fun, but all the tubes congregate at the end near the waterfall, and so does all the debris (leaves, etc.) Again, attention to detail and a quick strain of that a few times a day, would make a big difference. The last time we were here (in 2015), there were activities galore, all day long, for the kids. Bingo (free) for kids, hula hoop contests, snow cones, etc. When we checked in last time, we were given a sheet with the times of all activities. This time, no sheet, but also very few activities. On Saturday we heard an announcement that on Sunday there would be some activities, but that was kind of pointless because Sunday we were at the Disney parks. One day I heard an announcement for bingo for adults that you had to pay. Mini golf was closed (because of the hurricane), and the batting cages close early (at 7 pm) so there isn't a lot to do on the resort other than the pool right now. The units come with very basic supplies (1 extra roll of toilet paper, no extra garbage bags, one small dishsoap bottle, 2 dishwasher packets, etc). But we stayed here for almost 2 weeks, and any time we needed more supplies we had to go to the front desk. But if we are staying for almost 2 weeks and ask for more toilet paper, maybe giving us more than 1 roll would be nice! Again, attention to detail. The location is decent, about 15 minutes from Disney on average, depending on what park you are going to. Close to Walmart, outlet malls, and lots of restaurants. The other big issue we had was with our dishwasher. In a way it is kind of pointless, since they only give you 5-6 plates, 5-6 bowls, etc so you never get a chance to fill it up. Regardless, the first time we ran it, afterwards all the dishes were still dirty. So we called in the am before going out for the day. No one came all day. We called again, and the next day they came and said it was fixed. We ran the dishwasher again, and the dishes were still dirty the next day (yes we rinsed first, but it looked like nothing was done at all to them other than our rinse). We called again, and that night we saw a sign on our door that said they were going to replace our dishwasher the next day. We assumed that would be that, ran it after they "replaced" it. STILL DIDN'T WORK. We called to let them know, but we gave up. After that we just washed them all by hand, since we were having to rewash them anyways. The icing on the cake was one night I had to make a local call so I called the front desk to ask how to make one. No one informed me that they were not free. I never imagined a local call would not be included! When we checked out, there was a bill for 4 local calls for $6. It isn't about the money, but more the principle of the thing. There was nothing that said it wouldn't be included and I never heard of this. Overall, the say was ok, we enjoyed the lazy river and pool, and were comfortable in our unit. BUT, this place could easily go from "ok" to "great" with a little more attention to detail/effort. Our last stay was better. And the Disney/Orlando area is a VERY competitive place. There are literally hundreds of places to stay. My advice would be for Fantasy World to raise the bar a little bit here if they want to stay in the game.

After reading the other reviews, I was very worried about coming to this place. I was even more worried about having to attend a time share presentation that the salesperson swore that we wouldn't have to sit through. Overall here are my impressions and concerns: Looks and age: The property definitely looks like it is aging. Streets, rooms, property all show signs of a better time. Our unit was like a 2-3 star unit. It had been recently updated, but still looked fairly low end. The kitchen worked well and we did have space. Just don't expect luxury. Upgrading: The new owners are upgrading, but in a very illogical way. Our room was right next to two or three units that they were upgrading. That meant that we were subject to jack hammering and other construction sounds from 8a until 6:30p. Ugh. Most places would block off one set of rooms for construction and use already completed rooms or other rooms for guests. I'm not sure why they don't do that. Facilities: The pool was nice and reasonable. It wasn't too crowded and was somewhat fun for our kids. The waterslides are definitely better than average. The lazy river has a lot of debris in it, but worked. The gym was about average for a resort. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the sauna was. Fees: I was very unhappy to find out that we had to pay a resort fee on top of what we prepaid with the salespeople. In the end, that was a 33% increase on top of what we had pre-paid. The salespeople are total hucksters. The fees for activities were modest if you chose to do that. Overall, I wouldn't ever consider buying here. It was a good 20 minutes from Universal Studios were we spent most of our days, which wasn't too bad. At least there was a walmart and publix for groceries nearby. Don't come here for a resort or luxuries. Come here for a reasonably priced villa to stay in. Never, ever sign up to be in one of their timeshare presentations.

We stayed here back in June for a week. It was very busy at the check in desk but the lady was very nice, even though we showed up a little early and our room wasn't quite ready, she let us go to the pool area. We had a 2/2 townhouse and it was very nice. Full kitchen with a shower down stairs too! They had wonderful activities for the kids by the pool. My son Is 2 and enjoyed the wood craft, tie dying a t shirt and the snow cones! The kiddie splash pad was great too! We loved it so much we're staying again in nov for another week! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The complex is so close to everything, publix, Disney and the highway. A crispy cream is down the road too! They have charcoal grills everywhere too. The have a little mini golf area it's kind of worn down but my 2 y/o enjoyed it. It is a great place for kids! They have a lot of activities for children we didn't have a chance to do them all last time but will for sure do them this time! I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay close to Disney!
