Suites were really nice and the housekeeping staff was excellent. NIce pool and the gift shop, and dining area was clean, well supplied and organized. Buses were on time. The room location could have been closer as it was the last room in Nemo building. Even checkin desk and staff were superb and very helpful. Heres the fly: Be very careful about the hotel baggage staff. It took THREE HOURS to get our bags to the room. We even had to leave so we wouldn't miss Chef Mickey reservations. Upon returning from dinner, the bags STILL weren't in our room. After calling 2x and waiting 30 minutes.Nothing! After 3 hours total we marched down to luggage and demanded the bags. Finally after 5 minutes a 'porter' finally grabbed our bags to the room. So if you can bypass luggage and take the bags yourself, so much the better

"Excellent Theming!"

We stayed in a Cars family suite. The whole hotel is themed so nicely - lots of cute details! It's not the fanciest place, but it's clean enough & the pools are great! The food court can be a zoo, but that's how it is at all of the value resorts. The service was great everywhere. The room was just a little tight with six people in it (mostly because of six having six sets of luggage), but it was definitely manageable. Having two bathrooms was priceless! The refrigerator & microwave were really helpful, also. Overall, it was a great stay. I would give it 4.5 stars, if I could.

From the minute we arrived we loved this hotel. The lLittle Mermaid themed room was fantastic and a massive hit with our daughter. The decor was lovely and we had fantastic room service from a very lovely lady. the 3 themed pools were great and there were lots of activities and fun things to do. The dining facilities were good but could get busy at peak times. There was plenty of meal choices and the staff were mainly very helpful. Our full schedule meant we did not spend too much time at the hotel but we really enjoyed our stay. The Laundry facilities were excellent and reasonably priced.

You know when you don't know for sure how a recommendation is going to pair with your standards, well Art of Animation lived up to its name. It was convenient, friendly, clever decor, but the suites for families was ideal!!! We loved we could all be in the same room and still close to the main building.

"Wonderful Stay"

Stayed here for 4 nights recently on a short trip to WDW. I thought the property was great for a Value resort and has a lot to offer. Nothing to compare it to (and I'm sure others can argue the other way) but being at a Disney owned hotel was wonderful and helped to enhance the entire visit for our 2 1/2 yr old. Except for arrival and departure days we were only in the room for nap time and then sleep time. So, the value resorts offer a great option to save money because you'll be spending it elsewhere. If we had a longer stay and wanted to do other things besides Disney parks then I can see the benefit of a nicer hotel. We stayed in one of the Lion King suites. Room was a good size. There were 4 adults and 1 toddler and there was sufficient space. Definitely a bonus to have 2 full bathrooms. Furnishings in the room are on the cheap wood/plastic side, but who cares. Small kitchenette area was good to have with small fridge and microwave. As well as sink. Plenty of plastic utensils and also bottle and can opener. Plus the suites have coffee makers which comes in handy. The bed in the bedroom wasn't all that comfortable and more on the firm side if that matters to you. Both bathrooms were nice I thought. The bedroom one has a walk in shower stall and the other one has a tub. The towels provided were the cheap Motel 6 type, real thin and small. Most importantly the room was clean. Landscape of Flavors (the onsite restaurant/cafeteria) was pretty decent. Quite a few good offerings. I had one of the best meatball subs ever. Ordered a pizza one night and it was pretty good. Plus it's open til midnight. However, it is on the expensive side of course. Wish we would've planned ahead better and brought some food/beer/wine with us. The property is quite large and sprawls from one end to the other. Could be quite a walk from the Mermaid rooms to the main building. The main pool was huge. Of course finding a chair was horrible. Can only imagine what that must be like during busier times. There are two other pools, but we didn't visit either of them. Decent pool bar located at the main pool. Nice option to have when the adults need to relax a little. Bus service was pretty good. No real complaints. Only issue was trying to get back from Epcot one night around 9. Probably had to wait an hour as buses were few and far between. Otherwise it was ok and a definite benefit of staying at a Disney hotel. Parked the car at check in and never saw it again until we checked out. All in all a great trip. Would definitely stay here again, but there are many other options at WDW. For a small child this hotel is awesome since everything is Disney themed with some of their most popular animated films/characters. And I see that others feel this way since the resort was filled with families with younger kids. I can see older kids probably not being as excited about it. Depending on when we go back we might consider a step up in resort category. But for the best value, this has to be tops. Especially when you're not going to be in the room that much.
