"Adorable Rooms!"

We stayed in the Little Mermaid room and it was just like the pictures. The details were amazing throughout the different themes on the resort. But the standard room is a tight fit, so stay organized! The shower pressure and hot water were great. My kids are older at 16&12 but they've been raised on Disney and had a blast with Nemo pool, Cars pool and Ariel's pool. I loved that our wristband was a room key, ticket entry and photo scanner. Kept things simple because Disney is confusing for a 1st timer lol. I loved their transportation system! A bus was there every 20mins to take you to the parks and when you were ready to leave they were lined up and ready to take you back. I didnt touch my car til check out day. I checked in online and skipped the line. They have a quick serve cafeteria on site with plenty of foods for even the pickiest eater and small portions of groceries like milk, fruit etc in case you bring your own food and just need the basics. I loved this resort and I'm looking forward to the next Disney visit at another resort.

"Lovely decor! "

My husband and I stayed at the art of animation just recently and the decor is just amazing! Beautiful and vibrant. We stayed in the little mermaid room, the room itself was very pretty, not a lot of space or hangers for clothes, was ok as there was only myself and my husband but if there’s more of you this will be a problem as there’s only 3 drawers plus the tiny drawer near the beds as the other 3 are fake as a little mini fridge is behind it. It’s a shame there is no coffee maker in the room as I do think it’s something that can be added for not a lot of money and be good for the guests. The only thing that was a pain was the air conditioning always seemed to be what it liked. Always set itself to auto and sometimes was cool and sometimes not so you would put the fan on high then wake up in the early hours boiling hot. Not ideal when it’s 81 degrees in the day! Can’t comment on the food as didn’t eat there. Little mermaid pool quiet and good temp for the water. The walk to the main reception really isn’t that long as I kept and keep reading. It’s about 5 minutes if that. Of course it’s going to be longer if you have kids and keep stopping. The other thing that would be good is to add a self check out computer for guests as we waited 15 minutes in the concierge line as the check in/out line was even longer just to have someone click on their iPad for 5 seconds and we were done. Quite annoying!! Other than this it was an enjoyable stay and would stay again. Other great perk is the shopping being able to be sent to your hotel from Disney springs and the parks for free! Magic bands are great too as saves messing around trying to find key for your room and the parks!

" Christmas visit "

Sorry A little late in the year to write my review.. stayed at DISNEY Art of animation from 18th December 2017 for 10 days . This is our 3 Christmas in Orlando. Hotel was in excellent location. Rooms were clean and of great decor. However a standard room for a family of 4 was a little small. But it was comfortable for just sleeping in. Plenty of parking for our hired car. We used the Bus service which was was excellent. Food court was busy but well stocked and offered variety of great food . We didn’t have the dining plan this year !! So snacks were a bit expensive. Kids loved the pool areas. We did movies under the stars, the arcade was very popular.. The hotels outside decor is amazing !!!! Overall a perfect stay .. would definitely recommend.

"Great Hotel, even for the kid in all of us!"

"That's the trouble with the world. Too many people grow up." - Walt Disney. I am reminded of this quote when I stayed at this hotel. As a grandma and grandpa traveling with two grown kids, we wanted to have a great adventure, and we did! We chose the Little Mermaid rooms and they were fantastic. The beds were comfortable, the pillows soft, everything clean! The decorating of the rooms was soooo fun! We loved walking the grounds and taking it all in. Everything from the giant Ariel and Ursula to the Finding Nemo pool put a smile on our faces. I expected this to be a loud, family hotel but it was actually quiet at night. We appreciated this. The only down side was the long walk to the food area, and it was a little pricey for snacks. But this is one place I would love to come back to. I loved feeling like a kid again! Great job Disney!

"Great Family Resort"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

Just returned from an eight night stay at Art of Animation. Previously we stayed at Pop Century. Much of the layout and dining options are the same between the two resorts. Personally I liked the theming of AOA better than Pop. For this trip we stayed in a Nemo family suite. The suite was comfortable for our party of four adults and two children. Having two bathrooms was a necessity as was the refrigerator. The dining hall is what you would expect from a value resort. There are lots of options and they are reasonably priced. While there are some healthy options, many of the food items are typical fast food. They include some customizable options, which slows down the line. I recommend arriving for breakfast around 7:00 to avoid crowds before the parks open. I only have two slight complaints about the stay. First was baggage. We opted for the luggage service. We arrived at the airport at 7:00 pm but our bags did not arrive until 11:00 pm. Had I known it was going to take this long, I would have picked them up. We were all nearly asleep when the bags arrived. This is not the fault of the resort. If we had arrived earlier, it would not have been an issue. The other thing I did not love about the stay was the noise volume. My daughter and I slept on the murphy bed. This is close to the door to the hallway. There was nearly constant noise in the hallways until after midnight. The hallway wall does not seem to have sufficient sound proofing. This was really only an issue the first couple of nights. After 14+ hours at the park for a few days, I was so tired I didn't really notice. I would recommend bringing something to drown out the noise if someone is sleeping on the murphy bed. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We asked for more blankets and they were delivered in less than 10 minutes. The transportation staff was always accommodating and friendly. Overall AOA is great for families, especially those who want/need a little more room. I would certainly stay again.
