After reading some poor reviews before we went on holiday I was a bit worried about what we had booked as we previously stated in animal kingdom lodge and that was superb but i need not have worried. We Went to art of animation for a 2 week stay 5 adults 3 children all close family stayed in mermaid rooms. We had 2 rooms next to each other with adjoining doors which we found to be useful. The rooms are not the biggest but are big enough for a holiday to Disney world as we only slept in them I don't go all that way to spend hours in a hotel room after all it's all about the parks. The rooms are great we have 3 granddaughters under 7 and they loved the decor not over the top but it is a themed hotel after all. The rooms were clean and serviced daily. The walk from the room to the lobby and busses was no longer than 10 mins with a three year old walking as well. That's if you don't get waylaid taking photos as the outside giant characters are great photo opps. It's not as far as people make out and was never an issue to us. The pools are very good heated on a night warm enough once your in but like every pool I've been in cold at first not a bad thing as weather was hot when we were their. Plenty of sun-beds to go around only used main pool as kids liked that one best. Never waited long for park busses never more than the 20 min that they say even for magic kingdom which is always the busiest queue. No more than 20 mins by bus to each park magic kingdom being the farthest away. Food hall a bit of a shock at first but once you get used to it it's not that bad we only had breakfast mostly in their and it was ok plenty of choice. Couple of tips, only 6 coat hangers in each room we knew this so took loads of cheap plastic ones with us plenty of hanging space provided so we were fine. Beer and wine is not cheap in the pool bar but you can get 6 cans for $16 and half bottles of wine for the same price in the fridges in the food hall we just drank them round the pool or stuck them in the fridge in the room. Overall this is a great hotel for the cost very Disney great staff, yes it's busy at times and full of family's with children so if you don't like noise after 8am then go elsewhere don't just complain. All hotels have faults but we had a great time!!!!!

This is a nice place very clean and of course a great staff like all of Disney. The kids loved it especially the games at the pool.everything you need right on the property. And the busses will take you to the parks.
We chose this property for our 4 day trip to Disney because it had suites with a bedroom and 2 bathrooms. The rooms sleep 6, with 2 in the bedroom and 4 people on 2 pull down, fold out couch beds in the living room. The property is clean, the carpet in the room was very damp when we arrived, they said they were full and we could not move. It dried out by the end of the second day. The cleaning person said they must have shampooed the carpets the morning before we moved in. That is not acceptable in my book. The decor is from the Cars Movie, very cute. The beds were comfortable, but rooms themselves are not well insulated for noise. Every time someone closed a suite door down the hall it echoed in the room. One night we thought someone was trying to break in, they were not. There is a coffee maker and small refrigerator in the room, great for a morning cup of coffee, but they never brought new styrofoam cups after the first day so we had to go down to the restaurant and buy them. The property has at least 2 pools, you have to bring the room towels to the pool. People seemed to abandon them on the chaises and leave, so you never knew if the chairs were really still occupied or not. I suggest if you have room, bring you own beach towels. I also think the resort could put someone on duty to pick up the towels on the chairs when people leave so they are clearly available. The bus to the activities works well. Disney knows how to move people efficiently. We will be back to Disney in a few years with a crew. We need to find a better place that can accommodate families in suites or houses.

We all had a great time here and you cannot fault this place. You have to go once and make sure you take your family members or your friends as this place is good. Well done and keep up with the good job. We obviously had a fast track as believe me it was busy but it made a difference in all the cues.
