My family stayed here for a special cheer competition over spring break. This is a nice hotel with a great pool. One thing to really consider. You visit the parks all day and stay on you feet .. The resort,, as all of them are extremely spread out east to west . You will be tired get a room near the lobby otherwise the cute mermaid rooms are the length of three football fields to walk to. If you want to be comfortable get a closer room to the lobby otherwise there is no quick trip to get a drink refill on the refill cups they sell. Also there are no coffee makers in rooms. They do have fridges. Heads up and sweet magical travels.

Our family stayed in a Lion King suite, and absolutely loved it. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The murphy bed and sofabed were surprisingly comfortable. How quiet is it? Depends on your neighbors. The first few nights we didn't hear a peep from anyone -- but with new neighbors came some door slamming and loud talk in the hallways. As you'd expect with Disney, the grounds are immaculate and the staff is friendly. Bus service to the parks is good overall... we never waited longer than 20 minutes. The biggest surprise was the food in the dining hall -- very good. They always had a good selection, with plenty of healthy options and quick self service items. I highly recommend this property.

Stayed here with my husband and 2 yr old. Dropped off bags first thing in the morning to the bell hop bc we knew our room was not ready. Our room number was emailed to me when ready and never had to stop at the front desk since our room key was linked to our magic bands. Luggage was delivered right to our room and waiting for us. The little mermaid room was cute and rather clean though I noticed the bottom of the bathroom door had water damage. It was a basic motel room style place. There was a safe in the room and even a mini fridge... though I didn't find the fridge until the last day bc it was hidden in the dresser. We didn't unpack and use the dresser or else I would have found it. There are shuttles to the parks but we did not use bc we had a car. The pool was lot of fun though crowded. The dining ball was expensive for the cafeteria style food, but maybe worth it if you're in the Disney dining plan. And checked out with out going to the front desk. Overall, we liked our stay here and would have explored the grounds more but we only stayed 2 nights and were at the parks both days.

This was the first time at the Art of Animation resort, and I was very satisfied. The room was very clean and the staff was amazing. The only down side is the buses took longer than expected for all parks.

You have a car and aren't forced to eat onsite. I was apprehensive about feeling like a cow led to pasture at this resort but found that you can control your experience here. We had a car that could easily be parked outside of our building for convenience to come and go. You are given a parking pass at check-in that allows you to park for free anywhere on Disney property. We did not eat on property except for one night at 10:30p. I ventured into the cafe to get some pizza and it was off the chains busy and the staff could not handle it. Not a situation that you want to be paying in advance for if you were on a dining plan. Other than that I was so pumped to find out that for a value resort that I loved this place. We were in a cars suite and the room was awesome. Clean, well equipped and spacious! The cozy cone pool adjacent to the cars area was great for the needs of my family. They played good music and it had a relaxing vibe. The big blue pool was insane, so was very appreciative of the smaller pool options. Overall I feel like we got the benefit of a great Disney resort by leveraging this place for what it does right- nice rooms, great pools/grounds, and being on Disney property.
