"Perfect Mother & Son Getaway! "

After Hurricane Irma took out our power for extended days, we were stressed and tired. I decided we needed a little fun! My 5-year-old and I got away for the weekend. We loved Art of Animation! The decor was fabulous and takes you away to a Disney magical fantasy. We stayed in the smaller room, Ariel. However, it was perfect for the two of us! Even the mirrors and shower curtain were part of the theme! My son loved it! What was nice was the free bus shuttle to the Magic Kingdom and back! No parking worries! Also, you park free at the hotel! The hotel has a dining room of food to choose from. Expect over priced for most choices as it is Disney and no Starbucks there or in hotel coffee makers. You get a Disney band as your room key (it can be linked to your credit card and Disney tickets) and can upgrade to a food package if you feel it is worth it. Definitely download the Disney app. The Disney gift shop is fabulous, but again Disney priced as it is authentic merchandise. They have a fun arcade my son enjoyed and you have to buy tokens on a card (no prizes earned at the end). What makes this place is all of the pools! The Finding Nemo pool is for the young ones and has a beach style walk in. It opens late at 10:00am. Get there then because it gets crowded. You can hear music play underwater. They have an apparent cool splash pad, but it was broken that day. This resort is the cheaper of the Disney resorts so you get what you pay for, but it's all I needed with my son.

"Excellent hotel!"

We stayed in the Finding Nemo suite (3 adults and 2 young children) and had an excellent stay. These suites are the closest to the main building and main pool area which is ideal. The room was clean and spacious. The buses to and from the Disney parks were every 10 minutes or so and the queues minimal. The food court could get somewhat chaotic at times almost like a school dinner hall but overall the food was okay. We had an amazing time here and the hotel felt safe and secure and all of the staff helpful. The only small issue was our room was at the end of the block and the door leading to the stairs was always available to enter/exit. At night the slamming of that door was pretty loud and almost felt like someone opening our room door. Would maybe be an idea to lock the side doors at night and only have the main entrance to the building open? Would definitely return.

This resort has everything you need, a huge pool for the kids, themed rooms, a giant food court with lots of options, its own gift shop, an arcade and bus pickups. I could go on and on about this place. Its our go to place.

"Great First Disney Visit"

We just checked out. The resort was very colorful and a joy to look at and experience. The grounds were immaculate and had larger than life statues of Cars, Lion King and Little Mermaid characters. The food court was very good. We loved the arcade and the pools. The lobby always smells like candy. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a Little Mermaid Room. The cons were the resort is massive and it was a very long walk to and from the restaurant/buses/big pool and our room. When you’re exhausted and hurting at the end of the day that was unpleasant every night. The Art Of Animation also had the furthest walk to the bus depots back at every park. The bus transits to and from the parks and having to make double and triple transfers to the water parks were the worst part of the trip. I’d much rather rent a car next trip and stay at a moderate resort than a value one. Your first trip is a learning experience. The Art Of Animation experience was great including great staff.

"Can't get more Disney"

My partner and I decided to stay here on our first trip to Disney World which also happened to be our Honeymoon. We were a little worried that as the theming is VERY Disney (with the Little Mermaid, Cars, Finding Nemo and Lion King rooms) that we were going to be over powered by kids. However this wasn't the case. We felt that the place was big enough to make it not feel busy. We did however want to stay there because of the theming. Which was so impressive. The rooms themselves were great with so much detail. Every day you spot something new (we were staying at a Little Mermaid room) We absolutely loved taking a couple hours out of our day in the parks to have a swim in the amazing pool which again had so much theming. All staff were so friendly and helpful Only downsides were that we felt Landscape of Flavours food was very 2D, plastic and boring. But this shouldn't be a deal breaker as the resort has so much more to offer. Also as theyre constructing the new gondola system the buses do take a little longer to get to the parks because of traffic. One day we were waiting 20 minutes to get past one traffic light due to the construction. This is however depending on the driver as some drivers decided to go a different route. These downsides weren't major things to us but are the only reason I didn't give the review 5 stars. If you're planning on going to Disney (even as a couple) and want to stay in a value resort then you most definately need to stay here. It is so magical with the theming and I know for sure I will be going back
