If I could rate service by itself, this would be a 5 star review. The staff at this lodge was awesome. Front desk would do anything to make you happy. Lifeguards were very friendly and helpful as well. I dont know how many times I heard them telling the same kids to stop doing something. Never once did they raise thier voice or inforce anything really. The pool is very nice and my kids loved the slide. We had a 2 queen pool view room. We did go and look at the animals and I would never pay to upgrade to that type of room. Our room was tiny. I was always running into stuff and tripping over my kids. The bathroom is very small and basic. Water pressure was horrible in the shower. I just thought the rooms might have a little more space for the price you pay. We had breakfast at the Boma and it was very good. We ate at the Mara a few times. It is basically a food court. The prices are very high and the food is horrible. We tried the burger, pizza, turkey sandwich, and hot dogs. The breakfast was ok. I love disney, but with the prices for food and water ($3 a bottle) I am not sure we will ever stay at a disney resort again. The shuttle service was great. We were never crowded. So, service and staff were amazing but food cost and room were not.

We really liked the Animal Kingdom Resorts especially looking out our windows and seeing all giraffes and other wild animals. However, the price was so high. I took my daughter and family there for a special occasion but do not know if I would go back due to the cost.
Regardless of the bus system being pretty shoddy for this hotel (furthest one out and least amount of buses?) The hotel, the food and the staff are what you would expect in a deluxe hotel! The room was spotless, smelled fresh and we had a pretty great view of the animals(even though we were in a standard room) not my first time in Florida but my first time in a Disney hotel! My only advise would be, if you are from the UK and you're not hiring a car but you want to see more places in Orlando, download and set up uber in the UK and then you can use it in the states! Uber is over 50% cheaper than checkers and mears and the drivers and cars are superb! (Cost me $15 to universal studios from AKL, compared to a $45 quote from a mears guy!)

5 star from arrival to departure! The magic truly began the moment we arrived - from the perfectly themed architecture to the tropical themed landscape, Jambo House invited us in to the warm embrace of Africa. Tasteful, intriguing, engaging and educational - the decor entices guests to explore, relax and learn. Alluring surprises await around every turn and are tucked into every corner! With welcoming and authentic staff to greet and advise, AK Lodge, which includes Jambo House and Kadani Village, has a friendly and home-like atmosphere. And then....open the back door, or step onto your balcony and BAM!! African wildlife! Right there!! Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, antelope, gazelle, and cranes, to name a few, wander leisurely among the trees and grasses of the Savanna that surrounds the lodge. We spent hours just watching them - nearly forgetting to eat! Ok, well maybe not that much, but WOW! So amazing! There is so much more to share about this place, that it would take me 10 more paragraphs - all I can say is - COME HERE if you can! You will not be disappointed :D
