"Very nice hotel...but don't pay extra for Club Level"

We had a Club Level Savanna view room with 2 queen beds. Our room was on 4th floor overlooking the Zebra trail. The room was nicely decorated and as spacious as a typical hotel room. The beds were comfortable and we were not bothered by noise from neighbors. Our view was perfect. There was a giraffe that slept outside our window every night. We also saw antelope, various birds, and zebras. Several nights we slept with the window open (yes...even though it was july) so we could hear the animals. At night we could see parts of some of the fireworks shows. The lobby of the hotel was beautiful. The pool was nice and big...not very deep. Towels were always available at the pool. There was a bar at the pool and a "quick" restaurant nearby. Everyone working at this location was helpful. We also had no problems catching the buses to other locations. Concerning "Club Level"...I believe we paid about $70 extra for club level. When we walked up to the hotel we were immediately greeted by name and taken up to the Club area. We were offered beverages (beer, wine, mimosas, soft drinks) and snacks. Check in was very easy and they walked us to our room. We were grateful for all of this since we had driven 6 hours. The first day and a half we were content with Club Level and felt it was worth the money. We ate the continental breakfast, ate snacks and had wine and beer in the afternoon, and took advantage of the appetizers offered in the early evening before we went to dinner. However, after the first day or so we realized that breakfast, early afternoon snacks, and late evening snacks are the same every day. Actually, the late evening snacks was just a repeat of the early afternoon snack. (sticky chocolate muffins and rice crispy treats with icing and cookies) We were pretty disappointed and surprised by this. Five days of the exact same stuff was just ridiculous. Every morning was bagels, muffins, hard-boiled eggs, cheese, salami, oatmeal, and cereal. It just seems like they could have occasionally thrown in a different snack in the afternoon (potato chips would have been good...) and a different breakfast item (cinnamon rolls or a waffle making station). For the amount of money it cost, I could have brought a bag of bagels, cream cheese, several bottles of wine and beer and would have come out ahead. Bottle line...highly recommend Jambo house at Animal Kingdom lodge...but don't pay extra for club level.

We are just back from Orlando where we had a lovely time with our family. We were recommended Animal Kingdom Lodge by friends and it did not disappoint. We were on the concierge level and had a very quick, friendly and easy check in. Our room was ready for us despite being there very early. We had a savannah view, which was very nice, although I thought the rooms rather small and tight. We ate breakfast at the club room and always found this adequate for our needs. The lobby area was very nice and we could walk out to an area to see the animals. There was usually an animal expert there who would tell you about the animals. We never used the pool, but it looked good. We ate in the Mara twice. It was fine. We also ate twice in Jiko and it was great. The lodge is quite far from the parks, but there is a good bus system with friendly drivers. We thought that Animal Kingdom Lodge was a very nice place to stay.

My first time staying on site at Disney and what an experience. When I first walked into Animal Kingdom Lodge I did gasp with my mouth open at just how wonderful it looked inside. So Animal like funnily enough but so fantastic and beyond expectation. We had a Savannah Room which I highly recommend upgrading too, we had a view of the animals where we could sit on our balcony and watch them. Superb! The hotel offers great eateries which we enjoyed a few times, so much choice! The shuttle busses run so often and it is so easy to jump on and go from park to park. I will certainly be returning to Animal Kingdom lodge and I highly recommend this hotel to all ages!

"A little disappointed "

Our front desk staff at check in was amazing. Our room was very clean and ready several hours before we were due to check in. Our disappointment came when we went to one of the restaurants ( that was still open) one evening to order a turkey sandwich that was on the menu. The chef told my husband he was too busy to make it. My husband waited 30 minutes for what should have been a simple sandwich. We haven't been to Disney in 10 years and this was our first time staying on a Disney property. We were passing through town and only there for 1 night. We were there to celebrate the adoption of a child . Our quest for a sandwich was awful & definitely not the Disney level of service we remember!

Lovely hotel with amazing animals. LOVED BOMA and the Jinga (wrngspllng) restaurants. At Jinga we managed to sit at the table arapped around where the chefs were cooking Sara Lynn was "our" chef and she was entertaining as well a great chef. We also really enjoyed the pool and would return here next time. Room was just above the pool. Room was slightly on the smaller side but still great,
