"Hurricane sleep over"

I am a Disney fanatic and stayed on property many times including pop. I found the bed old and worn and in need of replacement. I was also disappointed in the lack of theaming in the room. Room was small compare to comparable rooms off site. Love the food count. I was most impressed on this trip with the number of guests pitching in after hurricane Irma to clean up the property.

"Good Hotel, Perfect for our holiday needs!"

Recently returned from this hotel while on holiday during Hurricane Irma and we chose this hotel having stayed the last 3 times at the Carribean Beach Resort. This time we chose to forgo a moderate hotel for a cheaper option to see if it really was worth paying the extra, and we were not disappointed. The hotel location is near Animal Kingdom, and just a 5 minute walk from the Disney McDonalds which is perfect for Breakfast! In fact we came home with spending money having only paid $4 a day on Breakfast as the meal at McDonalds was Buy One Get One Free on the receipt, so we saved big time! (It’s also open 24 hours). We hired a car for the second week and this hotel was great for driving back and four to Universal as it’s just off the main carriageway. There aren’t as many pools as the Caribbean in fact just 2 and it can be busy at times, but the room interior was almost identical in size and decor and when you only spend a few hours there a night, we probably wouldn’t pay the additional moderate prices again. We heard this hotel along with the Movies and Music was more popular with schools, and large groups so we did have our concerns initially but the complex is so big that this was not an issue, and I would say it was more of a family resort than others we had stayed at. The restaurant has several food options, but we did not purchase a dining plan on this occasion to see if it was really worth it, and in all honestly we preferred this as we were not governed by restaurant reservations and most allowed you to just walk in anyway so again along with a visit to nearby Walmart to stock up on food we saved hundreds of dollars. Finally the staff were brilliant especially during Hurricane Irma when we were kept on curfew while the parks were shut and despite the pictures of the damage the resort was back to normal and cleared within a day, a testament to the efficiently of their team. Sadly friends of ours did have their trainers stolen from outside their room by a pizza delivery man who was not part of Disney, so I wouldn’t leave anything unattended outside your room as we did feel security at the resort was not as strict as others where we have stayed. Overall, we wouldn’t hesitate to return, and if you are looking to do Disney on a budget the All Star resort is worth considering.

First time staying at this resort. It was a nice room to shower and sleep in. Sheets were a itchy, not high enough thread count. Staying on top floor and near the end was very quiet and relaxing Check in was very courteous and simple. Recommend for those who are just looking to shower and sleep.

"Great One night resort!"

This resort is a really nice place to be because it isn't crazy expensive and isn't terrible. The decorations on site are super fun and neat to take pictures at. The pool is nice and the bus stops worked very well concerning that we wanted to get to the park on time. Animal kingdom is very close to the resort and we didn't have to wait for any busses at all because the service worked very well for us. The rooms have a bathroom with a shower and two queen size beds and a fridge with a TV and table. You could fit 4 guests in one room. If you had more family, you could ask for two rooms that are connected to each other which is pretty neat. Overall, our time here was very nice and we have been doing this resort for many years. The only downside is that sometimes, it is confusing to find where your room is but if you just look at the resort map, it shouldn't be that bad to find where you are going.

"Disney on a Budget"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

We've been to Coronado Springs, liked it a lot. (See my separate review of it). But this time we wantand to spend our dollars more on different things so we decided to take a budget resort. And we liked this as well. We stayed at a standard room in Center Court/Building 5. I would say that our entire experience, the resort grounds, food options, transportation to parks and housekeeping was good. Room and fixtures are clearly old, but they work well and clean. So i won't complain with that. I would give these warnings though: 1) if you are a family of four, with teens or middle school kids, you may find the standard room small. 2) 1 bus stop only, so if you're placed, say building 8, it could be a walk. Also, at park openings line up can get long, and during park closing, lineups going back is long. Although we didn't wait at the resort and at the parks for more than 20 minutes. Just be prepared. 3) pool is so-so and can get really crowded. Remember this is a budget hotel, so don't expect much even if it's Disney. It does the job as a safe base/sleeping quarter within Disney. Disney vacations ought to be fun, yet many times you'll see kids crying and couples arguing inside the parks and buses. Plan your vacation properly and practice patience and you (and people around you) will have a magical time!
