"3rd times a charm! "

This was our 3rd visit to Coronado Springs and of all the Disneyworld Resorts we have stayed at it is our favourite! The hotel is themed with “ancient” Mexico and the American Southwest and is classed as a moderate resort! There are several buildings that make up the hotel, El Centro is the main building with the shop, bar, restaurants and convention centre. The Accommodation blocks Casitas, Ranchos and Cabanas (where we were), each residential area is served by its own bus stop as is El Centro. Our flight was delayed so we arrived at the hotel later than expected but this was not a problem, we were checked in by a really friendly receptionist, we asked for one of the recently renovated rooms and were pleased to get one, she also delighted in telling us that we were in (in her opinion) the best block as we were close to El Centro, the bus stop (Stop 4) and The Dig Site (the main hotel pool). Due to building works going on at the hotel there is a temporary bridge linking El Centro with our block so it was very easy to get there! The room was very nice, last time we were here we had a recently renovated room but this wave of renovations gives the room a bright, modern feel while staying true to the theming of the hotel. There are 2 queen sized beds, a large wall mounted TV, a wardrobe with an ironing board, a pod coffee machine and a keypad combination safe that is a lot bigger than the key lock safes that preceded it. The vanity area comprises of 2 wash basins and a separate bathroom with bath, shower and WC! Plenty of towels and lovely smelling toiletries are provided and replenished throughout your stay! The only downside of where we were is the hotel is having some pretty major renovation and building works going on so the view from our balcony was the lake (we booked a water view room) to the right and a building site to the left, we did however find it cute that they left some pins in the room featuring The Three Caballeros as a gift because of the building work. Each accommodation area has its own smaller pool however ours was The Dig Site which is the main pool, it’s got slides and fountains and even a small spa, it can get pretty busy when it’s hot though! In El Centro there is The Pepper Market which is the main restaurant for the guests, a smaller snack shop (if you buy one of the refillable mugs this is where you fill them up) and also Rix bar, there is also a margarita bar by the lake. Every time we stay at this hotel we are impressed with it and this trip has been no exception, compared to other Disney hotels we have stayed at, Coronado Springs leaves us feeling we got good value for money.

This is a nice resort but sadly the construction work has let it down Our room faced directly into the construction work which started at 7am most days (5am on one day). This could be heard from our room and woke us every day! We decided to stay away one day so we could get a good rest and whilst away property went missing from our room. I think this will be a well designed location once the works are finished but until then definitely one to miss!

This is our 3rd visit to this beautiful hotel and this time was no exception. We were located in Ranchos which was immaculate and we had a renovated room which was perfect in every way for the 4 of us. Bus stop was 4 minutes from room. Not too far to walk to main centre and restaurants, 2 pools within easy reach too.

Loved this resort! We can't afford deluxe Disney hotels so we did a moderate for our anniversary, and it was beautiful! The grounds are pretty and very well-kept despite the ongoing construction, which didn't bother us since they started work around 8-9am (we were already in the parks) and concluded around 8pm. Perfect! The staff was super friendly as well- look for John! He is awesome. Housekeeping left us cute little treats and notes every day- from towel animals to pre-stamped postcards to write home with. It is a large resort (as with most moderates) so be prepared to walk to the main building OR do some research and request a room near the front. 😉

"Not perfect"

Just returned from a stay at Coronado Springs. The construction of the new tower wasn't really a concern. What mattered more were the refurbs of the rooms going on. Casitas are currently under mass refurbishment. We had an updated room in the Ranchos section. The room was done really well. Giant sized TV, Keurig coffee maker, were nice touches. The small fold out reading lights by the beds were a nice touch. Now the negatives. Pepper Market was our least favorite place to eat. Food was just ok. The bus transportation was a problem as well. My wife and I both use ECVs. The buses can only accommodate 2 at a time. Bus stop 3 which was located by our room, was often already filled with ECVs. We had to wait over an hour for a bus because of this. The grounds were beautiful and everything about our stay was otherwise perfect. The staff is willing to help with any problems and go out of there way.
