"Not a full service resort"

I recently stayed at this hotel for a high school dance competition, so in all fairness, I didn't research it ahead of time, nor choose it. That said, this is not a "resort" and should not be marketed as such nor charge the prices of such. A big problem with the resort is it is very spread out and it was over a 10 minute walk from my room to the lobby and restaurant. I believe they had some sort of shuttle service to get you around the resort but it involved a lot of waiting. Exhausted after a long day of competition, we didn't want to walk in the pouring rain (nor wait outside for a shuttle in the rain) to get dinner, so we called room service. (It had a VERY limited menu, but fine, whatever) The real problem was we were told there was a 1.5-2 hour wait for room service! We decided to use UberEats instead, and then the delivery person was not allowed to come in to near our room so we had to walk the 10 minutes in the rain to get our food in the lobby. I was hoping I could at least get someone to give us a ride back in a golf cart, but was told no one was available. I complained to the front desk person and was told "You have my sympathy and my regrets" Nice enough, but no solution was offered so I ended up soaking wet with a cold dinner. We also could not get anyone in the a.m. to help us get our luggage to the front desk to get an Uber to the airport, (and it was early so the buses were not yet running) so we had to lug our bags the long walk to the lobby. I again complained and was told "Well, you can keep your wristband as a souvenir" Perhaps it would have been a better experience if we had had a car, but the poor customer service is the main reason for the 1 star. As noted by other reviewers, this property is tired, and I couldn't recommend it for the price. If you prepare yourself for a 2 star budget hotel you won't be disappointed, but I think there are much better options out there, especially for the price. (One other odd thing to note - the rooms did not have alarm clocks, or any clock for that matter)

"Not feeling the Magic"

First and foremost, I have to remember that Coronado Springs Resort is the conference hotel for Disney and I did not attend a conference. If I was a conference attendee, I would have a nicer room and be closer to the main building... I have been coming to Disney for 38 years and I have stayed at most of their hotels. I have never had a feeling of disappointment until I entered the first room at Coronado Springs. The dated room smelled musty and the shower had rust and missing grout. The furniture was worn and looked as though it had seen better days. Not the standard for a Disney Hotel. We were greeted by the nicest cast member when we returned to the registration desk. Although there wasn’t much she could do, she was very consoling and tried to help. She mentioned a different hotel but we were traveling with a group so that was not going to be easy. The second room was in the same building and looked the same but without the rust. In fear our week would be ruined, we decided we would avoid our room as much as possible. Note to non conference family’s with children: The pool is nice!

"Remodeled Room was Luxurious!"

I came as part of a conference and was prepared to be underwhelmed but was pleasantly surprised. The Cast Member at the front desk was kind and helpful, and didn't get cranky when I checked back to see if a room was ready (I arrived several hours before checkin). The room was just amazing. Perfect shower, insanely comfortable bed, quiet surroundings. The only shortcoming is that there is still lots of grit on the floor from the construction, and a few hairballs that were a bit stomach-turning. There's a lot of construction going on, nd they're up front about that.

"Large Resort"

On a Mommy-daughter Disney trip, we got a better deal here than at a value resort. First time for this particular resort. It is quite large. Currently under construction, which did not impact our visit. Nice room (was not one of the refurbished ones), excellent Disney beds!! Clean. I would suggest adding a tram service just for the hotel, since to get around you either have to do tons of walking (which I already did in the parks) or snag a place on a Disney transportation bus to get from area to area. That could be an issue in busier times. I would not choose this resort over other moderates I have stayed in, but it was a pleasant stay.

"Very tired hotel"

This is a very tired dirty hotel. My room was dirty and in need of a makeover. This morning someone's leftover food was scattered over the verandah and walkway. When I arrived no one showed me to my room and it took ages to find my way. Luckily a wonderful guest helped me. Only one restaurant was open and the only one staff member at the restaurant was helpful.
