"Loved it!"

I have been reading reviews since we booked in January and had some concerns over the number of negative reviews but I have to say we loved our room! We were fortunate to stay in Cabanas 8 with a freshly refurbished room. So comfortable and clean. I am not sure what kind of perfection some of the other reviewers expect. I have stayed in many of the Disney properties and hotels all over the world. I expect clean environment, comfortable sleeping both mattress and linens, free Wi-Fi and plenty of towels...Corronado Springs met all my expectations. The Disney transportation service was also efficient. Sure we had to wait at 9pm when the park emptied and everyone needed to get back to the hotelier that is the trade off when you let someone else do the driving.

"very disappointing"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed September 24, 2017 NEW
I am currently at the resort and here with a friend who is attending a yearly conference. Prior to arrival, I was very excited at the prospect of staying at a Disney resort but have since lost that excitement. The transportation from the airport was pretty streamlined and efficient and check-in was easy although requests that had been made days prior for a renovated room were not in "the system" so luckily we were accommodated. The room key is a sports watch style device that also allows freedom to move through the resort without worrying about carrying cash. The hotel is under renovation which makes navigating through the resort a little confusing. Older buildings that have not been renovated yet have the same numbers as the updated buildings. The landscaping is beautiful which allows for a very enjoyable walking trail around the resort. There is a huge water park style family pool with a slide, lots of seating and an eatery. There's also a smaller more intimate pool which was nice if you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle with all of the kids. The room itself was obviously renovated but only average with barn style bathroom doors, huge flat screen wall mounted TV, Keurig coffee machine, ceiling fan and refrigerator. There is no microwave available within the room. The food/dining choices are HORRIBLE and overpriced. I am in complete shock that a resort with the name Disney attached to it feels it's okay to provide super low quality of food that is being served at such inflated prices. I wanted a banana and saw the price was $1.85 each. The closest grocery store is about 15 minutes away. I'm also appalled at the environmental impact this resort has on the world as everything used is disposable within the main "cafeteria" style dining hall. I could go on and on but think twice before you come and "spend" your money here.

"Very Distepectful, rude staff in Pepper Market eatery"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed September 23, 2017 NEW
This review is specifically for the resort's Pepper Market counter service restaurant. We were there Sat Sept 23 at about 2:00 and spent $80 just to be treated like garbage! Lady at sandwich/pizza area needs some serious counseling. The entire eatery was quite empty. There was only one small group in front of us on queue line. Lady behind counter looked & acted miserable and bothered by the presence of guests. After relunctantly serving the guests ahead of us. She looked at me and my party of 5 and gave a huge pissed off sigh. I requested the Italian sandwich (lucky her, there was already one prepared). Then she seemed miffed that I asked for a bowl of soup. My wife & kids were next. She gave my wife her food, but not my son's sandwich. She just threw the tray at my wife and said "next". My wife then politely asked about our son's sandwich, when this nasty "cast member" rolled her eyes, huffed, & said it's coming. The cashiers were equally unpleasant. This horrible treatment of paying guests should be completely unacceptable in any customer service establishment, let alone Disney property. This rude behavior of cast members has become more common with Disney. This lady should be lucky she has this job. If she doesn't like it or can't interface with customers, then she needs to be transferred to some backend job or housekeeping.

"Request A Renovated Room"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed September 22, 2017 NEW
The day's of tired carpet and heavy dark furniture are going away. I will try to add photos of the newly renovated rooms. We stayed in Casitas 1. This is very close to the main building. This is a moderate price resort and rooms are approximately 314 sq.ft. Our room had a king bed w/six pillows, Keurig coffee machine, glass front mini-fridge and a rather large "smart TV". Two separate sinks with plenty of storage for your toiletries. Shower has a fixed and handheld spray. Glass full length door. No more stepping into a tub. Also, plenty of storage for clothing There is construction going on at this property. Everything from painting to major construction. Good news is, nothing starts prior to 9am. Getting to our room, at first, was very confusing. We actually had a construction foreman show us how to access our room. We were very happy to see more detailed signage being installed later in the day. You'd be hard pressed to see any evidence of hurricane Jose from a week earlier. Room was immaculate. I accidently spilled water on the floor and I wiped it up immediately with a towel. When I looked at the towel, it was as clean as when I took it off the towel bar. That's great housekeeping! Do not let the ongoing construction work deter you from staying here.

"Calm and traditional"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

We've stayed in 4 Disneyworld hotels over the years now and CS didn't disappoint. It seemed a lot quieter than other hotels, whether that's because the accommodation is more spread out or it had less people staying there but it made for a pleasantly calm experience. We were situated in the Casitas. Our room was quite dated (although still spotlessly clean) and we were staying right next to another casitas block which was unfortunately going under a complete overhaul of construction work during our stay. I completely understand for hotels to be renovated work like this needs to happen from time to time, so we embraced the journeys walking past construction machinery on the way to the food court. The food court was pleasant however after a couple of meals there, we noticed there wasn't as much variety on the menu as we've experienced in the past, which was a shame. All the food is cooked/ prepared to order which often meant long lines, 10- 15 minutes waiting for your food and your food either being cold of having to eat separately to other members of your family. This was the main downside to the hotel for me . Our area featured a gym (quite a few machines not working), pool (pool towels not provided until about 11am the 2 mornings we went swimming) and a launderette. All the staff we came across during our stay were helpful and polite. I'd definitely return but would wait until construction works were finished, the rooms and facilities were updated a little and we would make the decision to eat in the parks for most of our meals.
