we arrived at this hotel with a reservation made 2 months before by booking .. when we arrived we are told that there was no booking in our name even showing the email confirmation of booking .. we called the booking which called the hotel for ask for explanation .. we are told that the hotel has not managed the reservation well .. shamed because the hotel seemed nice

Hotel has great views, rooms wete nice. Service was not great. Ice machine broken, restaurant attached had awful service and do not order shrimp. It is old, not flavorful at all, even sent it back and they replaced it with the same awful shrimp. Only decaf coffee in the room, had to go to front desk both nights in order to get regular coffee. Only one working elevator, it was always a long wait for an elevator. Used the shuttle one time, driver ignored our request so we spent an hour and a half on it only to return to the hotel. This place needs someone to train everyone that serves the paying patrons that go here. Would never go back.

Sammie the shuttle driver was so friendly and truly went above and beyond with his customer service to make sure me and my friend knew exactly where to go while on our trip! One instance was when we were nervous about leaving the hotel because we weren’t familiar with the area. He then took us to the store on his night off and waited for us and told us how to get downtown and to other parts of Tampa. He was definitely the epitome of perfect customer service!

I booked this hotel using expedia, which I have done on numerous occasions with other hotels having no issues. I arrived early so I went in to see if I could go ahead and check in. While patiently waiting for the girl at the front to acknowledge I was standing there, she finally asked if I was checking in. When I said yes, she simply said I have no rooms. I explain I have a reservation and she rudely said "then check in is at 3:00". I understood, so my husband and I went over to the beach bar to have a light lunch while waiting. We finished shortly after 2 so we decided to see if our room was ready. When we walked in, there was a line checking in, so no problems right? Wrong, when I get to the counter she immediately asked for my ID. Then she asked how I booked the room. I told her expedia and showed her my confirmation and that my room was pre paid. She hands me back everything and rudely states I do not have you in my system and we are overbooked. I drove 2 hrs to find I had no room and she treated me like I was a low life off the street. When I explained again that I pre paid for this room and I have a confirmation, she simply said call expedia and they'll find you something else, which they couldn't do because everything in the area was booked solid. That's it. No I'm really sorry that this happened. Nothing but short rude responses and nasty looks. Then a 2 hr drive back home from what was supposed to be a nice weekend with my husband.
