"Family vacation 2015"
April, 2015
We really enjoyed our time in Florida. The airboat ride at Wild Florida was exceptional. Our boat Captain ( John ) was very knowledgeable of the area where he took us. We seen many gators and other animals that are indigenous to the area. There were three groups in our family and we all made reservations at separate times. Wild Florida was very accommodating in getting our groups together so we could ride in one boat. After the airboat ride we walked through the animal park. We had the pleasure to see feeding 10+ foot alligators and many of the different animals they have on display. Would do it again in the future.
Tip: Take the early boat ride. More gators and animals moving about. Don't be in a hurry. Take your time, relax and have fun. Just as it should be when vacationing.

"Awesome Airboat ride."
April, 2015
We had a great ride for our group of 15. Our Capt. Was very good and knew where to look for Gators. The Zoo was also pretty neat, my 2 year old nephew got to hug and hold a 2 foot Gator.
Tip: Don't turn right when you leave or you will see 80 miles of cows and ranches.

Our family had a fantastic time! The guide was funny, and full of all kinds of info. From 4yr old -55 we all had fun. The little zoo was nice too.
Tip: Even if it's sunny , bring a light jacket. It's pretty windy!

Excellent experience! My wife and I took our four boys (ages 7, 4, 3 and 1) on a 1/2 hour airboat ride at 9am, easily could have done the 1-hour had it not been fully booked for any parents reading reviews to determine what their little ones could handle. Also went the through the wildlife park which was very nice and well maintained. Great friendly staff all around and pricing was reasonable. So a great overall experience and well worth the trip!

We chose Wild Florida on the recommendation of one of the specialists at Wyndham. Thanks to our GPS, it took forever to get there, but we managed to make our designated check in time. I'd highly recommend get there BEFORE your check in and doing the animal tour before the ride, especially if it's very hot. The ride was a lot of fun, and Captain Jeff was really knowledgeable. Apparently though, the gators were smarter than the humans because we only saw one little baby on the 30 minute tour. That's out because there were a lot of amazing birds, and ripping along the top of the water was way cooler than when we were stopped. By the time we were done, I was overheated so I didn't do too many of the animal areas. We're really spoiled by a world class zoo close to home, so we've seen all the animals. I let the family walk through while I found a nice area in the shade with fans and had a chat with a few other ladies hanging out there. We did get to pet a baby alligator, so that was cool. I'd highly recommend lightweight pants or at least longer shorts. If it's sunny, the boat seats are extremely hot. You'll want water, although you really can't drink it while the boat is in motion. Anything that isn't tied down, will blow away. Ear protection is provided. You definitely need it, and small kids might need foam ear plugs inside the big ear phones. Do definitely take a lot of sun screen. I didn't notice any mosquitoes, but they do have complimentary repellent in the gift shop. One other note, if you're coming from over by the theme parks, pay the few $$ and go on the turnpike. Our gps was set to avoid tolls and it took us an hour and 20 minutes to get there, and 38 minutes to get back.

Cool experience! Park was fun looking around at different types of animals. Being on the airboat was a cool experience. Didn't see much gators but we still enjoyed it all the same!

I've been here twice now and I'll be back again. The hour airboat ride is excellent with up close (safe!) sightings of at least three large gators each time out. That's why we went, but we were happily surprised to experience the impressive nature sanctuary that has a wide variety of animals from lemurs and sloths, to zebras and alligators.
