"Lots of fun"
January, 2019 NEW
Lines were easier to get through than at Disney world. Loved the option to purchase drinking cup to be able to refill on our own at spots around the park. Keeps from waiting in Long lines for a drink. Grandkids loved the play place, giving the adults time to rest a bit while they played.

Cleaner than Disney, better food, more rides, has better resorts with more included. The park-to-park is a must. The only thing I'm waiting for is a Harry Potter Resort !!!!!

"Well organized and great rides"
January, 2019 NEW
We enjoyed the park but would have liked access to fast passes without having to pay exorbitant prices. The Memory Maker photo option was great and we enjoyed the extra photo spots. Very easy to use. The crowds became too much in the afternoon.

"Crowded"
December, 2018 NEW
We enjoyed Islands side more. The Harry Potter exhibit was much too crowded. Lines were too long to do much. And traffic is awful leaving the place, as it is tightly built in the city. My sons liked the Dr Suess rides, and the E.T. Ride the most.

Tip: dont wait in any lines, go straight to the ticket kiosk and type in your confirmation number and get your tickets. If you are visiting diagon alley and want to ride gringots you must put any items your carrying in a locker. We saw the locker line go back to the diagon alley entrance! skip this by going through the gift shop at the end of the line, it goes straight to the lockers! could save you a. hour of wait time depending on the day!

Not very happy with their services for handicap people. You cant reserve a scooter, so you must take your chances or get there when the park opens. All of their assist devices are located well within the park, which forces you to find alternative assistance or have your handicap person exhaust themselves before they even get into the park. Doorways and stores are also narrow aisles which makes it very hard to use a walker or wheelchair in them. VERY FRUSTRATING.

My 15 and 18 year old teens thoroughly enjoyed this place. I found there is lots of room for improvements. Universal does not have the WOW factor upon arrival that the competition does there is no heightened sense of excitement and anticipation upon arrival. The women’s bathroom are tight between the stalls and sinks; how much would it have cost to widen the aisles a foot or two? The walkways are narrow in Hogsmeade as if crowds were not anticipated to be large. Staff seems to just be doing a job and their attitude borders on being rude even when asked a simple question not requiring any labor output except a verbal response. King Kong was worth the wait however, did no one in planning notice that six adults of average size cannot be accommodated in the final two rows of the car; some genius decided to put a u shaped bar on the seats in these rows and attendants still pile six adults in which makes it uncomfortable and possibly a hazard. Some of the rides seem like they could be loaded and unloaded more efficiently such as the Hogwarts Express. Definitely with an Express Pass you can make this a long one day only trip and then move on to other attractions in Orlando. The one thing they do a great job on is security before entering the parks. Beware that some rides require items to be put in a locker so if possible make sure you only bring what you can fit in a fanny pack. They do have package pickup near the exit to retrieve items you purchase without having to carry it around the park which is a perk.

Our group of four adults visited on January 9, one of the lowest crowd days. We bought our tickets online, got there at 9 am, got through the gate by 9:20, and headed straight to the Harry Potter Forbidden Journey 4D ride at the back of the park first and had a very short wait. We then worked our way through the other major rides as soon as possible because there later it got, the heavier the crowds. We used the Universal app to check crowd times and went to the rides with the lowest wait. The river ride was closed. All the 4D rides were good. We each had a different favorite. About the Incredible Hulk coaster: You will not be able to take anything in your pockets or any bags on this coaster. This includes your cell phone. They will check you with a metal detector before you’re allowed to enter and will turn you back if you don’t comply. My hubby wore his glasses no problem. Use the free lockers next to the ride to store stuff. This may take extra time if it’s crowded. The coaster was excellent and we were able to ride twice in a row with less than 5 minutes wait time. It’s a good roller coaster. Poseidon’s Fury: Not really a ride, more of a presentation. Interesting and fun but if there’s a long wait consider skipping it. There is nothing to see or do during the wait unlike a lot of the other rides (Spider-Man, etc) which have videos and holograms to keep you entertained. We didn’t do the kiddy rides except for the carousel. We did have a nice sit down lunch at Mythos. Because the wait times were all less then 30 minutes and a major ride was closed we had plenty of time to do the main rides, walk the whole park through at least three times, do some shopping, and still leave before 4 pm.
