"The Florida Aquarium Rocks!"
June, 2016
Buying tickets through Reserve Orlando was quick and easy. The Florida Aquarium has so much to offer for young and not so young. All kinds of sea life, including otters, many types of fish, jellyfish, etc. The Wetlands area included many local birds in a natural habitat. Madagascar lemurs in a tree house setting gave us a bird's eye view. The divers gave an interesting presentation in the big tank, sharks, sea turtles and all. Everyone was mesmerized by the presentation. An outdoor splash area gave little ones a great cooling off spot, while parents could relax in the shade and enjoy the breeze. We are senior citizens, but felt like two kids as we enjoyed this well thought out aquarium.

"Well run aquarium"

The Florida Aquarium is clean with a large variety of exhibits of creatures that seem very well cared for. It's definitely a top quality aquarium. The digital information boards by the exhibits were a nice element as they changed every minute or so to allow for much more information to be shared than is possible with static signage. The lemur exhibit was unexpected for an aquarium, but was a highlight. We were a group of adults, but we enjoyed the touching tables and tank where you could pet skates just as much as the kids who were there.

"Great spot to visit for locals and visitors alike!"

This is a really great aquarium. It's not the biggest or most comprehensive I've visited (thinking in Boston or Monterrey, CA), though this is outstanding for a wide variety of aquatic animals from around the world. The "centerpiece" sea life circular tank, with the sharks, is beautiful - I can sit for hours and watch everything going on in the tank. That said, for me, as a long-time Floridian, is the Florida wetland/mangrove living exhibit. Wow. For visitors, it shows the real beauty of the coastal wet and adjacent upland plants and animals that we are lucky to experience here in Florida. The variety is amazing, and the curators have done a remarkable job at recreating this for us. For "locals", and I live in Tampa, it helps remind us just how lucky we are to live here, and be able to experience this ourselves. When visiting the aquarium, I feel like I'm kayaking around Weedon Island or Caladesi mangroves. Really great experience!

Hello everyone, My wife saw this on youtube last year and has been "hooked" ever since. Me, the not so adventurous one, put it off as long as I could until reckoning day finally arrived. I booked the event online and our journey began...... Upon reaching the aquarium we were greeted by a very nice young man named Evan. He was very pleasing and accommodating. He took us through the aquarium and pointed out exactly where we would be and what to expect. I felt my anxiety begin to ease. We went to the training room where we watched a short safety video and completed all necessary paperwork. This did not take long at all. He then showed us to our locker rooms where our private secure locker was labeled and had our swimsuit and footwear inside. One dressed, he escorted us to the top of the tank where we would enter. My divemaster (Jamie) and my wife's divemaster (Wayne) were there smiling and waiting for us with our gear already prepared and with their Go Pros ready to film. These gentlemen were calm and thorough and assured us that all would be A-OK. For the next 30 minutes I will simply say that "We had the time of our lives"! I don't want to spoiler alert so GO FOR IT---After the dive, they also provide us with a USB stick of the actual footage of our experience. This is by far one of the best activities in which I have ever participated. Thanks again to Evan, Jamie and Wayne and the staff at The Florida Aquarium in Tampa for making our 26th wedding anniversary one truly to remember.

"Great Location if You're Coming Off a Cruise Ship"

We had a few hours to kill between the end of our cruise and our flight home so we walked over to the Aquarium from the Port, which was super easy to do. (We were on Royal Caribbean, Port 3). We purchased our tickets online which made it a little bit quicker to get in. They do have a bag check service which worked out really well. It took us about 2 hours to walk through the exhibits. (It really isn't that big). They do have benches scattered about so you could just sit around if you needed to kill some more time. We had lunch at their grill and it was good, what you would expect. It was much nicer to spend 3 hours there than in the airport so we consider it a win.
