"Loved, Loved, Loved This Museum. Best Kept Secret In Orlando!"
November, 2018 NEW
Wow! I bought tickets for SKELETONS: Museum of Osteology through the Reserve Orlando website for almost half the price I would have normally paid. The deal was so great, I didn't know if it was real or not. It was real! SKELETONS: Museum of Osteology was absolutely amazing, and I wonder why I had never heard of it. The staff was super-friendly, educated, and willing to answer any questions we had. When we checked in, the gentleman noticed my daughter had a sketchbook and offered to bring her a chair when she wanted to sketch. Now that is customer service. The museum has set up several vignettes of all sorts of animal bones in super-cool and interesting ways! For example, they have a bear skeleton pilfering through a picnic basket. I was simply amazed at all the displays from the smallest rodent to a towering giraffe. As I enjoyed the museum, I wondered how many hours was put into each project. I 100% recommend that everyone should visit SKELETONS: Museum of Osteology. I have been all over the world and haven't experienced anything like this! I also recommend using Reserve Orlando for purchasing tickets to this and other Orlando destinations whether you are a tourist or a local like me. My daughter first heard about this place at Seminole State College's Art Club, and she wanted to visit to sketch skeletons for her art portfolio. She had great subjects and we both had a fantastic time.

"Educational and impressive collection"
September, 2018
Purchasing tickets the night before, when we discovered this little gem was super fast and efficient through the Reserve Orlando website. Parking was in close proximity and free, which is an added bonus. The museum employees were very friendly and welcoming, assisted with every question our group had. The museum itself was very expansive, not cramped at all, and boasts an impressive collection of 100% authentic skulls. I am glad we stumbled upon a recommendation of this place, and we were able to purchase discounted last minute tickets through Reserve Orlando website.

Was dragged here by my wife, and I was delighted. A wonderful museum of animal skeletons, from human to pygmy shrews, to hippos and elephonts to whales and then to flesh eating beetles (real, not skeletons). Came out, ate , and went back in to finish off the viewing. Lovely young lady in the shop. Great experience!

"Better Than a Zoo!"

An impromptu stop that turned out to be one of our favorite museums. Well-organized and educational exhibits throughout. So much to see and a unique way to learn more about the natural world. Great for all ages but very young children (under 3) might not be as interested in the exhibits. BETTER THAN A ZOO: Great signs on everything - we never had to guess about what we were looking at. I feel I learned as much (or more) as I would have at a zoo. Everything was up close and easy to see rather than hiding in the vegetation. Plus it's a much smaller space than a zoo, so if you have less mobile family members this won't tire them out. OTHER STUFF: There were a number of hands-on activities like scavenger hunts, lighted sign boards, and touch tables. The staff members were really friendly and the bathrooms were super clean. The gift shop was great, with everything from kids’ toys to actual skulls and insects. IN/OUT POLICY: You can leave and re-enter the museum as many times as you want in the same day, which is great because there are restaurants and other attractions/museums in the same plaza. We looked at about half of the exhibits, went out to lunch, then came back for the rest. Probably a two-hour visit in total. COST: The whole experience is SO reasonably priced for Orlando. We pre-purchased tickets from their website. If you choose a specific date for your visit you can get up to 70% off. I think we paid a total of $19 for two adults. All we had to do was flash the confirmation email on my phone and we were good to go. The plaza has a FREE parking garage. Highly recommended overall!

"Great experience for families!"

Our family visited the Museum on Friday (day after Thanksgiving) as part of our family reunion. We have done all of the parks and were interested in something new and interesting. We are an intergenerational group of 10 (ages 12-75). We booked in advance and received an interactive guided tour of the museum with Bonnie. We then participated in one of the high school workshops involving forensic pathology. We split into four groups, examined skulls, and investigated trauma and pathology. After our workshop, several in our group did the scavenger hunts that are available. We were there about three hours. Bonnie was a terrific guide -- very patient, knowledgeable, and responsive to everyone's questions. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the visit and learned a lot.
