Zip lining over monstrous gators is awesome! Make sure you are wearing closed-toe shoes and those that won't slip off your feet. Don't forget to look down to see huge alligators.

"Awesome views from the towers and lines"
July, 2015
We were in Orlando for a family vacation, me and my 2 adult daughters, neither of them have ever zip lined before. I've had a few opportunities to "zip like" back in the 80s with Army training (remember the slide for life?) but it wasn't anything like the commercial places today. Gatorland is actually a gator reserve, has multiple ponds segregating the sizes of the gators. I found it to be very educational and promote awareness for habitat and wildlife preservation. The park is organized around the pools with aviaries and snack bars imbedded within. There are plenty of shaded walkways so you're not constantly in the sun. The zip line depot is inside the park, where they take you through a safety briefing and film. An experiences guide (college age men and women) help you assemble the gear then off we went to the towers with a few others. These towers were above the treeline and we could see nesting osprey and crows in the tops of the trees. Looking down was impressive! The zip lines were fun, some short some long and we traversed several towers before ending the adventure. The entire trip took about 3 hours- starting from buyin the tickets to editing the park. The zip line tickets give you entrance to the park and you can stay there all day if you want, but you must to show up at the depot on time otherwise you may have to forfeit your ride. Great experience and I highly recommend to novice an experiences zip liners. Safe for kids!!
Tip: Don't bring anything loose that can fall off your head or out of pockets

Parking is free, we paid for general admission plus $10 each to do the adventure hour. Feeding of the fish, alligators & birds will cost you a few bucks extra but I consider it great value for money and the kids loved it. The adventure hour gets you very close, within 2 feet of large alligators with no fence between you, just a gatorland keeper with a large stick. There are many other animals here on display, snakes, panthers, deer, parrots and so on. This is a good half to full day out for the family.

Normally this wouldn't attract us but our girls wanted to try the Screaming Gator Zipline. We reserved from home and were able to obtain the CAA discount for the two non-zipline entry tickets. It is really well done. The extreme swamp-talk when I called just doesn't do this place justice. I am not a zoo fan but the girls really enjoyed their time, despite a tropical storm coming through so the word "rain" just doesn't do it justice. No lightening so everything carried on. Because of the rain we didn't do some of the activities we planned but we did enough and would recommend as a good family outing for a variety of ages and abilities.

Spent about 5 hours here with 4 adults and 3 kids ages 16 ,14 and 10 we all enjoyed it. 27 dollars per adult and 19 for kids under 12. You have to pay 5 dollars to feed the alligators with a fishing pole and 10 dollars to feed them by hand. You are right in with them when you feed them by hand but the show is well run and you feel totally safe. There are shows you don't have to pay to watch but on the whole you pay for everything even doen to feeding the birds. We had a good time but don't be fooled by the cheap entrance fee you will have to pay to have a good time here.
