"Awesome views from the towers and lines"
July, 2015
We were in Orlando for a family vacation, me and my 2 adult daughters, neither of them have ever zip lined before. I've had a few opportunities to "zip like" back in the 80s with Army training (remember the slide for life?) but it wasn't anything like the commercial places today. Gatorland is actually a gator reserve, has multiple ponds segregating the sizes of the gators. I found it to be very educational and promote awareness for habitat and wildlife preservation. The park is organized around the pools with aviaries and snack bars imbedded within. There are plenty of shaded walkways so you're not constantly in the sun. The zip line depot is inside the park, where they take you through a safety briefing and film. An experiences guide (college age men and women) help you assemble the gear then off we went to the towers with a few others. These towers were above the treeline and we could see nesting osprey and crows in the tops of the trees. Looking down was impressive! The zip lines were fun, some short some long and we traversed several towers before ending the adventure. The entire trip took about 3 hours- starting from buyin the tickets to editing the park. The zip line tickets give you entrance to the park and you can stay there all day if you want, but you must to show up at the depot on time otherwise you may have to forfeit your ride. Great experience and I highly recommend to novice an experiences zip liners. Safe for kids!!

Gonna visit gators! The parking lot is not vast, but it is free. As you stand before the Ticketmaster, you must figure out what type of experience you want, Zipline over the Gators, Swamp Buggy Ride, up close and personal with Gators, or maybe all or none of the extras. It's gonna cost extra. We went with the Swamp Buggy ride, truly nothing special. You listen to a few gator pokes, ride over a few hills, make a few stops, and then drive through a gator pond/ swimhole. This adventure is in the back of the park entering through the store. There is food such as pizza, chicken sandwich, nachos, hot dogs, ice cream, soda, oh and a stuffed pretzel with cream cheese ( sweet cream cheese) or jalapeno cheese. Soda cups don't come with lids, unless you purchase there souvenir cups. Feed the gators is $5.00 for 3 fish. I would rather watch others spend their money feeding the gators. There is an area where I think it's ridiculous for adults to allow children or even school field trips to allow children to roam without adult supervision. It's the swamp board walk. There is no park employee hanging out over there! THERE ARE WILD COTTONMOUTH/ WATER MOCCASINS POPULATED IN THIS SWAMP. THERE IS NOTHING STOPPING THEM FROM BEING ON THE BOARD WALK OVER THE SWAMP WATER. I WATCH SCHOOL KIDS AND LITTLE KIDS TRYING TO GET As I walked along the boardwalk there was a commotion due to a Water Moccasin coiled up next to the walkway in a bush. So proceed with caution people. Please beware when leaning over to catch your snapshot, GATORS CAN JUMP UP TO 6 FEET HIGH, 30 MPH ON LAND, 20 MPH IN WATER, and great climbers over metal fences. Look it up! There are a few beautiful birds living here. We seen 2 Bobcats in a showcase. Plenty of gators!

Definitely a must to check out Gatorland if you are in the Orlando area. We did the nighttime tour of the grounds, held a snake, another reptile that looks like a snake and checked out all the different areas and types of Gators that Gatorland provides a home for! Our guide was amazing, informative, friendly and patient! We got to see the gators in their habitat at night by using special flashlights. We fed the gators and also got to hold a baby gator!!! I will say it again, Gatorland is a must!

My husband, myself and our 5 year old son attended Gatorland Tuesday June 5, 2018. I have only wonderful things to say about our visit. It was a scorching hot day in Florida but there is plenty of shade to be found, along with cooling fans & misters. We were greeted by the very excited and informative staff and offered us the up close and personal feeding frenzy opportunity! $10 extra pp but worth every penny if you want to be as close as humanly possible in a controlled setting. Scared the bejesus out of me, but I would do it again. You can also feed gators with fishing rods, ($5 for 3 pieces of fish) Not only are there gators every single place you turn, it’s an educational experience as well. Gators, crocs, exotic birds, snakes, owl, possum, panthers, a gigantic tortoise and more! Shows, feeding time frenzy, great photo opportunities and more. Definitely worth the $. I can’t wait to go back!

"Gatorland is a Great Orlando Attraction"

We hadn’t been to Gatorland for quite a few years and were amazed at how it has developed without losing its natural-ness. You can spend the whole day there wandering around, watching Gator Jumparoo and other shows and enjoying all the gators and wildlife. Food is available for you and the gators. The train ride takes you “behind the scenes”. Walking around there is good information posted. We thoroughly enjoyed our day there. There are discounts for senior citizens and military and veterans If you like nature and an alternative to waiting in line at the other attractions I highly recommend
