"Awesome views from the towers and lines"
July, 2015
We were in Orlando for a family vacation, me and my 2 adult daughters, neither of them have ever zip lined before. I've had a few opportunities to "zip like" back in the 80s with Army training (remember the slide for life?) but it wasn't anything like the commercial places today. Gatorland is actually a gator reserve, has multiple ponds segregating the sizes of the gators. I found it to be very educational and promote awareness for habitat and wildlife preservation. The park is organized around the pools with aviaries and snack bars imbedded within. There are plenty of shaded walkways so you're not constantly in the sun. The zip line depot is inside the park, where they take you through a safety briefing and film. An experiences guide (college age men and women) help you assemble the gear then off we went to the towers with a few others. These towers were above the treeline and we could see nesting osprey and crows in the tops of the trees. Looking down was impressive! The zip lines were fun, some short some long and we traversed several towers before ending the adventure. The entire trip took about 3 hours- starting from buyin the tickets to editing the park. The zip line tickets give you entrance to the park and you can stay there all day if you want, but you must to show up at the depot on time otherwise you may have to forfeit your ride. Great experience and I highly recommend to novice an experiences zip liners. Safe for kids!!

To be honest I wasnt expecting much..I mean im here for the big guns like Magic Kingdom. Boy was I wrong!!! This family enjoyed themselves....Alot!!! The alligators and crocodiles made me smile. They are such a joy to watch. You can see them swim, eat, wrestle, sleep, and leap up for food. All things i have not seen before. The staff... seriously they add alot to the experience. You can tell they enjoy their job and it shows. Their sense of humor is excellent... i can appreciate the staff being jokesters. We are a family of 4..we paid $120 to get in..that included feeding and attractions..That is value my friend! We enjoyed ourselves and will come back our next orlando trip.

When traveling to Orlando, I had some free time and wanted to do a little something different than the usual Disney or Universal. So glad I did, what a blast! They have a time where you can feed the alligators for an extra fee, and they do take photos after, and you can buy them in the photo shop. Do yourself a favor and get that photo. This will be the closest you will ever get to an alligator, and still be relatively safe.

"Great day in good weather"

This is a great park. However, you do need decent weather to really enjoy it. There is nowhere to shelter from rain or the cold. For by all that, it is Florida so we have great weather for most of the time and this park is a great half day outing. You can stretch it to a day and now that they have introduced a new monster truck ride and the zip lines, it can easily be a full day. Value for money is very good, especially if you are a resident and also if you buy the annual pass as we have done. However, expect to pay more for the train, truck, zip line, food to feed gators, birds, goats, tortoise and to sit on the back of a gator which does not include the cost of the photo. This is not a zoo but they still have a variety of animals and birds to see. The gator shows are really good. The all day train ride is $2 but to be honest, it’s a waste of money and time. There is food which is delicious, plenty seating and fans on a hot day. The restrooms all need upgrading and more installed especially the Ladies ones. There is a waterpark also slides and climbing bars for the kids to finish the day off. Recommended for all ages.
