We went here because of the reviews and we had a spare hour on our way back to the airport on a Sunday – however, there really is nothing to see apart from some old buildings which are unattended and you can’t approach. Really a waste of time.

Nice place to visit if you are looking for something to do with a lot of history involved. This pioneer village is a group of different houses and buildings that were moved here and preserved or renovated to look like they were in their past condition. late 1800s to early 1900s. Lots of signs to read to inform you of the history of each one.

We really enjoyed our experience! The whole thing is broken into 4parts. You can walk the trail to each of the sites or drive to them. The Welcome Center tells you and shows you the history of Osceola County as a whole and has fun, interactive displays to enjoy and enhance your experience. Across 192 and from the Welcome Center are two areas, one has canoeing/kayaking and down the trail the other one has more history to explore. You can either follow the trail, which can be swampy and of course is a nature trail where gators and things do live, or you can drive just down 192/Old Vineland to the Pioneer Village and look at period history. Make sure to bring drinks and even stuff to picnic with. This is very relaxed and quite. There is a small fee at Pioneer Village, I believe it's $7 for adults and $3 children, however, when we went they were having a month of free admission so, make sure to check for deals.
