"I found our place in orlando"

I'm terrified of ferris wheels, guys! But let me tell you...the ICON is the most pleasant, most beautiful experience that happened during my orlando trip! At the very top, not only was the view spectacular, but I got engaged last week on the icon. The ICON will forever be our place now and for that I'm so grateful. Totally recommend.

like the London Eye without seeing any real iconic or historical place without some kind of binoculars, such as cape Canaveral. Do indulge in the champagne to drink as you go up that you can buy before you get on.

"Fantastic Ferris Wheel High Above Orlando"

This is a fun ride. The Ferris wheel moves very slowly and the cabin is quite large so even if you do not like conventional Ferris wheels you will have no problem with this. You get a good view for miles around. My only issues are, in the cabin there are screens that show you what is out there, but each screen has the same view no matter what direction it is facing. You have to scroll the screen with your finger to change the view. So being unfamiliar with the area, I did not know what site was were. It would be nice is each screen was customized to the direction it is facing. Also, you have to be able to stand for the duration of the ride. My wife walks with a cane and they stopped the wheel momentarily to make it easier for her to get on and off. Very nice. There are stores, other attractions, and restaurants in the immediate area. The parking garage is adjacent, it is free, but can get crowded, and the elevator is slow since one was out of service. Otherwise, do it.

My boyfriend and I went on Valentine’s Day it was okay, it had really nice views of the city but you’re packed in there with a lot of other people. We had 5 other people in our cabin with us. It has computer monitors telling you what’s around the area so you can look for them as you go around.

"Great views - but not something that needs repeating "

Some of our group had this as a ‘must-do’ on our holiday so we did it. It wasn’t overly thrilling or exciting but did give a good view of the area that would have been enhanced had we done it at night. I don’t think any of us will bother doing it again as once we were at the top we couldn’t wait for it to be over. I would recommend giving it a go, just don’t expect too much.

"Really good, but could have been better"

My husband and I went on this in the afternoon. The pods were roomy and ac so we didn't have to worry about the Florida heat. We were thankful for the seats inside so we were able to relax and enjoy the view. It was an interesting 23 minutes. We both agreed that if something was done on all the rooftops it would have been more interesting. Otherwise you're just looking at cars and dirty rooftops. Definitely check with your hotel for cheaper rates. Not really worth the full price.
