I honestly thought this would be some backwater attraction with a few alligators. Boy was I wrong. (it is a little backwater, but in a fun way). They have SO many alligators everywhere and some of them are HUGE! We stopped by a show where they wrestle n alligator and the trainer performs some tricks with it. At the end they invite anyone who wants to to come sit on the alligator and take a picture. There is a option to actually feed a huge swarm of alligators raw chicken. The only thing standing between you and them is a guy with a little stick so not for the faint of heart. There is a zip-line you can do across the park and over the alligators. I suggest calling in advance and booking this because they book up early on. We also watched a show where some guys were feeding some massive alligators and getting them to jump out of the water. So impressive how big these animals are. Definitely something to see if you are in town.

The first time we went to Gatorland we were tourists from CA we are now retired living in FL and LOVE Gatorland. The park is so easy to find, with free parking. Currently they have 1/2 admission for residents. We took my visiting 88 year old father and he loved the park. We rented a wheelchair for him and had no issues maneuvering him through the park. The park staff are friendly and ready to help. There is no standing in lines just move around the park at your own pace. Besides gators, you see nesting birds, flamingo, snakes, turtles and so much more. Gatorland is a great change of pace from the the major theme parks.
