Peregrine Plunge
Brace yourself for the longest single straightaway zipline in Florida. From a height of 71 feet, you’ll soar at 30 miles per hour down 1300 feet of extreme zipline! You’ll feel just like a peregrine falcon as you lift from your perch and dart out through the pine flatwoods and over the prairie toward your distant prey. Panther Pounce
The Florida Panther is known to leap from heights up to 18 feet but we expect a lot more from our human visitors. Your challenge is clear on this challenge tower. Muster up the courage to step off a 68’ platform into a thrilling but safely controlled freefall to the ground below. It’s a first of its kind adventure in Florida and an extreme one at that! Once you get up the nerve to make the leap, it’s pure thrills from there! C’mon, let’s show those Florida Panthers how it’s done!

"It's not a theme park and, boy are we glad!"
October, 2015
Forever Florida is an improbable place seemingly located about a mile and a half from nowhere. Particularly if you've had a steady diet of theme park crowds, you'll find the location, somewhere in Kenansville away from most modern conveniences, really refreshing. We did the zipline, and for a couple of senior citizen first-timers, this had the potential to terrify. Truth be told, it did terrify, but the two guides used just the right kind of confidence-inspiring pep talks and truly funny jokes -- to make sure we not only survived the order, but actually enjoyed it.

Full disclosure here: Forever Florida is a place that celebrates the forests and plains of unspolied Florida, and you might be tempted to think that you'll see lots of wildlife as you tool along 60 or 70 feet above the ground. Well, it is possible you'll see animals and birds, but mostly what you'll enjoy is scenery, and the ability to take in the 'big picture' of what the unspoiled Florida interior is really like.

The Forever Florida folks also offer tours in vehicles in which guests sit on the second level of buses, with a nice view of the surrounding area. The trips are led by naturalists who help make sure you get to see everything there is to see. I know this because a mini-version of the trip is how guests get to the zipline location. Even in that brief journey, it was clear that the bus tour is a really nice way to see the area and all that it offers. Next time we visit, we'll take the full tour.

We felt really good about the fact that our visit to Forever Florida supports a nature conservancy set up to preserve that section of Old Florida. We cannot recommend it enough.

Tip: Bring insect repellent, especially if you are one of the people on whom the bugs love to gnaw. You are out in the wilds with all sorts of possibilities for bug bites. Also, make sure you have a camera.

"Forever Florida"
February, 2015
What a great day at Forever Florida. I purchased 4 tix on Reserve Orlando for a full day of ziplining and for the Adventure pack. Our group included people that had never ziplined before, to an experienced army parachuter with hundreds of jumps. The staff (Tony and Eli) was wonderful with everyone and assured everyone had a fantastic time!! We will be back for horse riding and maybe even an overnight stay!

The buggy swamp tour was outstanding. Very informative and filled with tons of wildlife viewing opportunities. Would certainly recommend to anyone with a loved one in a wheelchair who loves the outdoors but can’t be as mobile as they would like to be in enjoying them.

Don't miss the entrance! The entrance is actually a mile before the GPS tells you to turn when you're coming from the north on Hwy 441 (Tampa/Orlando direction). You'll see a couple of signs saying Forever Florida. Where do I put my stuff? You can stow your purse, keys, etc in lockers at the zipline site but you won't be able to get to them until you're done ziplining. You can take your cell phone, camera, other small things as long as they fit without interfering with the harness. My hubby put stuff in the pockets of his cargo shorts. Google "zipline harness" images to see where the harness will sit on your body and you'll see what your pocket options will be. Cell phones and cameras should definitely have a wrist band or strap! Bathrooms, water? There is water and a porta-potty at the base of the first zipline station and more water at the end. Are there bugs? Bug spray is helpful. I didn't get bitten on the zip lines but the biting flies found me on the ride back in the swamp buggy. This was in October. Definitely bring sunscreen! There's no shade on the towers. What should I wear? Wear longer shorts and a comfy shirt, not low cut. A t shirt-type neck is better. I pulled the neck of my t shirt up in the back to keep the harness from rubbing the back of my neck. Also, a longer length shirt is best. If it's short (reaches just past the waist of your pants) it will ride up in the back when you're zip lining. Best place to sit in the swamp buggy? You'll get in a swamp buggy for the ride to the zip lines. It's better to sit closer to the front since the back is so noisy you can't hear what the guide is saying. What's it like? It really wasn't that scary. The anticipation those moments of standing on top of the tower and waiting your turn are the most nervous-making but the zipping itself is not overly fast and there are no big drops. You won't get the same butterflies in your stomach as from a rollercoaster, but it is truly exhilarating! You're out in the open, dangling from cables and zipping past trees and over the landscape. If you do fancy poses and turning yourself around, etc, it is even more exciting. This was an excellent adventure!

"Wild adventure zip-lining in real Florida"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

We wanted to experience some more natural settings on our trip to Orlando as well as the adrenaline rush of a zip-line. We are so glad we chose Forever Florida, they were really helpful with pre-booking and welcoming on arrival. They are a drive away from the hustle & bustle of Disney, but we thought this provided a more authentic and natural surrounding than other similar operators. Check out the internet as they also advertise/offer some discounts on full price which also helped. Unfortunately one of the attractions was down for maintenance when we arrived (they did try and contact us before arrival) but offered some alternatives as a way of compensation. We were lucky in that the time of our visit was a quieter time for them and enabled us to go straight into our adventure despite being nearly an hour early! We had to get on board one of their trucks to get to the zip-lines, but our driver pointed out all the natural wildlife (including a 'gator that was basking in the afternoon sun on the other side of a small creek) before dropping us at the course. Our guides; Heather & Miriam; were wonderful and helped reduce any last minute nerves as well as facilitating hearing impaired communication. Complimentary water was available, which helped in the intense summer sun. They personally made sure we were all safely strapped onto the lines and went first and last so that they were at either end of the wire from us. Zipping at and through tree-top levels provided great thrills as well as wonderful peaceful natural scenery (it is part of their bigger ranch that also provides horse riding) and you could see for miles. We did a variety of zip-lines with varying heights; speeds and ways of travelling (backwards was an experience!) as well as the free-fall drop. Both guides made us feel really welcome and at ease, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a great Orlando alternative to others. They have a small welcome centre with restrooms where you could also purchase snacks and drinks. A member of staff took numerous great pictures during our experience and these were available to purchase on a USB later at $33. No pressure selling was exerted and so this choice & extra cost is down to the individual. We had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed our experience!
