"very cool."
July, 2016
This is a very cool place. It is so hard to squeeze in if you're doing all the parks, but if you have an extra day, do it. I Yes with the money for the views, by because they open so late, you can't do it before a park not can you do it on the way to Kennedy. They need to open way earlier. Our maybe they should be a 24 hour thing. That would be neat. Lets face it, people come here for the mouse....

"Great views of the port"

Pleasantly surprised by this activity. The 7th floor observation deck offers excellent views of the port and surrounding area. Worth doing just for this. The remaining floors offer exhibits well done, a movie, and activities. Must do the harbor pilot activity on the 6th floor !!!!!! Other activities were good but one of the most interesting (cargo offload) was down for maintenance. Great stuff in the gift shop. They have a small snack bar. Restrooms and seating is available on all floors. All very nicely done. Admission is reasonable at $7pp or less. Highly recommend.

"Small but informative museum with a great view"

The Exploration Tower is a small museum about the Cape Canaveral area. My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) paid about $20 total for admission and we were in the museum for around an hour. The various levels have a mix of models, displays and videos about this region of Florida and how the industries have changed over time. When you work your way up to the very top level, you can get a great view of the port and any cruise ships that happen to be there. My 7 year old wasn't as engaged, but my 9 year old found it interesting (particularly a ship simulator) While this isn't a large museum, the cost isn't extravagant and it is a nice way to pass some (air conditioned) time if you are in the area. There is ample free parking or you could easily walk there if you are taking a cruise and need to burn some time before you board.

The cost is minimal. Take elevator to the overlook on top, then work your way down. Each floor has something different and educational to offer.

I was not real keen on doing this but was talked into it and had a half off coupon. I think it is 7 dollars at full price. It ended up giving an impressive view of the port and the Kennedy Space Center. The exhibits were a bit sparse but enjoyable.
