"very cool."

This is a very cool place. It is so hard to squeeze in if you're doing all the parks, but if you have an extra day, do it. I Yes with the money for the views, by because they open so late, you can't do it before a park not can you do it on the way to Kennedy. They need to open way earlier. Our maybe they should be a 24 hour thing. That would be neat. Lets face it, people come here for the mouse....

While sightseeing around Port Canaveral my wife and I decided to stop in and check the tower out. We started at the top and worked our way down to the bottom. The view at the top was awesome though there were no cruise ships in port to see it still was great. Checking out the other floors was an education about the port and surrounding area. It is a good family trip to share. The tower it self is unique and is pretty at night when lit up.

"Was not impressed."

Had heard alot about this and was really looking forward to seeing it. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. Hardly anything to see on each floor, alot smaller inside than you would expect since it looks large from the outside. Glad it was only $4.00 a person. They really need to add more exhibits to make it worthwhile. The view at the top floor was amazing though as you can see the whole port and the cruise ships.

"Exploration Tower"

The exploration Tower in Port Canaveral,FL is worth your time. A dramatic piece of architecture which opened in 2013. It is beautifully lit with changing lights at night. It caught our attention one evening while having dinner across the street. The admission is very affordable for an individual or family. (Look for $1.00 off coupon, senior, military rates etc.) It is an enjoyable, interactive, hands on learning experience. Look up as you enter the ground floor. A beautiful installation by a local artist is suspended from the ceiling. She composed it entirely of repurposed items. It's stunning! A cute gift shop is also there with fair prices. The self guided tour begins on the 7th floor observation deck. Here you will have a fantastic view of the port. Look carefully and you can clearly identify the VAB of Cape Canaveral. Each floor of this building offers different exhibits about the space program, Florida wildlife, the Port of Canaveral, Cocoa Beach etc. Watch the short film in the theatre to learn more. You can easily accomplish your visit in 1 to 2 hrs depending on how much you desire to read at each area. Across the street are many restaurants to choose from if you get hungry. Enjoy!

"Smaller than anticipated "
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5

Somewhat disappointed in this attraction. While reading about the Exploration Tower while planning visit to area, the word "tower" made it sound very large. It was much smaller than anticipated - both in height, depth, and width as well as exhibits. Plus, an admission fee was charged for this "visitor information center." The first floor is an overpriced, understocked gift shop. The fews from the top level were very nice. The river, ocean, port, boats, ships, people, highways could be viewed. The two viewing scopes on the observation deck were broken - unable to focus the lenses and therefore, not able to see thru them. The exhibit on wildlife was nice. Very little else available. Ample parking. Definitely overrated.
