This was my 4th visit to Escapology in the past 25 months. My sweetie & I were visiting Orlando (from Jacksonville) for the long weekend (Dr. MLK, Jr). We met up w/the some friends who were also visiting from Jacksonville. This was their first visit to Escapology but not their first time doing Escape Rooms. I booked 2 adults over the phone & told the rep that 2 others were retired military. Rep put us down for 4 attendees & the two retirees would have to show their military ID upon arrival to prove the 50% discount eligibility (which was fine & I understood the reasoning). I like that now there is no longer room-sharing. I think just the four of us was a perfect size group to be in the room. Any more & we would've been tripping over each other. We did The Code, which was a selection by someone else. I dreaded it after seeing the 8.2 difficulty rate on the web site. It was pretty intense but we did it. We escaped w/three minutes & five seconds left on the clock. I appreciated that we were allowed to go back into the room to get our group photo under the TV (where the timer had the remaining time left on the screen). We were all given rubber wrist bands that had the name of the room we escaped from (which is now at my house w/the other wrist band rec'd "Shanghaied"). The wrist bands must be new since 2015. My very first room was over Thanksgiving weekend in 2015 & we escaped from The Arizona Shootout but didn't get a wrist band. I have 2 rooms left at Escapology & they are definitely on my Bucket List for future visits to Orlando.

Best escape room I have ever been too!! My family is addicted to these escape rooms and hunt them down whenever we go on vacation. We found this one and all agreed it is the best set up and rooms we have ever done. The lobby is welcoming and the staff are very friendly. The escape room was challenging but extremely fun and doable! Definitely going again and will recommend to everyone!!

"Good stories, poorly executed"

To give credit where credit is due, the atmosphere and scenery at Escapology is excellent, and the stories are unique. Unfortunately, after playing two of their games, Escapology has left a bad taste in my mouth. In my first game, we were stuck on the last puzzle and asked for a hint. Instead of a hint, they gave us the answer to the puzzle, and we escaped within two minutes from that point. We had considerable time left, and our escape time landed us on the leader board, but it was a hollow victory because the game master gave up too much information too soon. My group also, on multiple occasions, came across something that didn't make sense or didn't work as intended. In the game we played today, there was a directional lock, which frequently stuck and you couldn't tell if it accepted the directions you entered. We found the correct combinations and entered it multiple times, to no avail. We then tried a different combination, which, again, didn't work. On the second combo, we used a clue, and were told our last three directions were wrong, and after trying the original combo several more times, the lock opened. We wasted over ten minutes on this when we had the right information the whole time. We didn't escape, and when we informed the game master that the lock wasn't functioning properly and that caused us to lose significant time, he said, "Oh, yeah, sometimes it does that." Soooo, you just keep non-functioning pieces in your games? Several game pieces were also in such disrepair that they could hardly be read. I gave Escapology two chances, and unfortunately, they failed to impress me both times. I would not return.

We've fallen in love with escape rooms & this is one of the best! It's such a fun activity with friends or family where you get to interact and solve puzzles and have fun together! Shanghaied was more challenging than most, but we still escaped with 5 minutes and one clue to spare ;) It was a great time!!
