Our day at Discovery Cove was amazing! The food was great, all the snacks and drinks you could want, a relaxing environment and the best snorkeling experience I have ever had (Hawaii included!) I wish we could have spent the whole week there. A 14 day Sea World pass was included with our tickets which just sweetened the deal!! I wish I could give it 6 stars!!

"Best experience EVER!!"
June, 2016
Our children were 6&8 at the time we went. We did the dolphin swim and they loved it!! The trainers were AMAZING and spent time answering the questions our 6 y/o had ( wants to be a vet / dolphin trainer, why we did this)! It totally made her day!! Having it all inclusive was awesome! As we went from area to area we could stop at the cabanas and get snacks and drinks whenever we wanted! Breakfast and lunch were also very good! The reef water was freezing (there during a tropical storm) so we only made it to our knees, but touched the rays and fish we saw! ALL the lifeguards were very friendly and genuinely seemed to like their jobs, even the ones swimming through the lazy river scooping leaves out! This is an experience you simply must do at least once!

Tip: They operate rain or shine! The lazy river does get pretty deep at points if you have little ones or weaker swimmers!

This is a place & experience that will be unforgettable. THIS IS A MUST!!! Put it at the top of your list! My husband literally said, "this is awesome" when we swam with the sting rays. I was speechless & breathless from the whole beauty of all the animals. Trust me when I say that the food was AMAZING. I personally preferred the vest vs the wet suit. Idk if I got the wrong size each of the 5 times I changed into or what but do yourself a favor & just wear the vest. It's easier when you have to use the bathroom too. The Wind-Away River was exactly what we needed to relax. We went through it twice!! The Explorer's Aviary was amazing. I'm terrified of birds flying over me but that fear was nonexistent when you have the most beautiful & exotic birds land on your arm to eat! I can go on & on but just go experience this yourself!! SERIOUSLY!

Our visit here came about because one of our 9-person party wanted to go snorkeling at the beach while visiting Orlando. A quick search turned up this spot, but it's so much more than just snorkeling! The $169 ticket not only included everything needed to enjoys the day here, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks including beer and alcohol, but also gave us a day at SeaWorld and Aquatica within 14 days of our reservation! (Add $60 to get the dolphin swim time, about 30-40 min in the water interacting; six of our party participated and loved it.) There are three water areas- the Grand Reef on the far end has the main snorkeling items, including schools of salt water fish, and friendly sting rays and horseshoe crabs, The middle area are the dolphin lagoons, and the area to the front-left of the entrance is the lazy river, which includes secluded in-water seating areas and interactions in an aviary and with marmosets and otters. A wonderful time was had by all, and we used the Aquatica ticket a few days later. Of note, the Discovery Cove photo-ID ticket becomes the master ticket for entrance into the other parks if you go to Discovery Cove first. I can't wait to come back and do this day again!

Discovery Cove was so incredible. This was one of the best days of my life because I got engaged there. The dolphin visit was amazing. There is so much to do. Theres an area to snorkel or go through a lazy river. You can make stops and get off to feed the birds or little monkeys. It was seriously paradise. All food and beverages are free, including alcohol. There are even places to get a mid-day snack. They provide the wet suits, snorkels and sunscreen. They really think of it all. It was pricey but totally worth it. They even provide showers fully equipped with shampoo and deodorant to freshen up. Loved, loved, loved this place!

"Horrible checkin"

So this morning we started in 1 line outside Discovery Cove. At the entrance we divided into 2 lines. 25 parties behind us got served before we did because they went into the line to the right while those of us who went left stood waiting for Emma to finish her conversation with her trainee. She ignored us when we finally got to the front of the line and tried to check in with her. She finally helped the person behind us when she noticed me taking a picture of her name tag. It took us over 45 minutes to get through the door. This is unacceptable.

"Best Thing to do in Orlando - Great Value!"

What an incredible day we had today at Discovery Cove. I just can't say enough about this amazing gem in Orlando. We live in Tampa and thought we had done everything there is to do in town. Wow were we impressed. From the minute you arrive to the moment you leave, you are pampered. People are friendly and helpful. Once you enter, everything....I mean everything is included. The breakfast, lunch and snacks are all good. Also, it includes beer and wine along with slushies, soda etc... You cannot leave this place hungry. We started with the great reef early in the morning, a MUST do early. the water is clear and the fish are everywhere. Go before everyone stirs up the water. You have the place almost to yourself if you do this first. We have snorkeled quite a bit, and were thrilled to see so many interesting and large fish. Later, 2 of us did the dolphin encounter. It was well worth the money. It is a full 30 minutes in the water with them. It includes a dolphin pull and kiss along with lots of touching and feeding. The trainers were great and everyone left feeling like they had a great experience, without being too invasive on the animals. Next we did the lazy river. What a fabulous surprise. The river takes you into an aviary! You can get out and feed the birds, or simply float and watch the beautiful birds. The staff in the aviary is quick to get you a cup of food and the birds fly on your arms. Very cool! then you grab your noodle, get back in the water and float away back down the lazy river. This is a must do in Orlando. My favorite out of the way spot is the water lounge near the farthest snack bar and the otters. check it out!
