Fun for the kids and very educational. Dinosaurs are life-size, which makes it very engaging and really impressed my nephew. The museum provides a lot of information that feeds a child’s curiosity about all things dinosaurs.

Description

from Dinosaur World Florida
Dinosaur World is Central Florida's only attraction dedicated to the giants of years past. The 20-acre theme park is conveniently located between Tampa and Orlando on Interstate 4 and a must see for families exploring the area. Spend your visit walking amongst some of the most feared predators ever to walk on the planet before heading off to explore the outdoor shows and entertainment including the Dino Disguise Show, Excavation Cave Experience, and the all-new Triviasaurus Rex Game Show.

Practice your skills as a paleontologist at the area’s largest Fossil Dig before you head over to the Boneyard Excavation to try your hand at uncovering a prehistoric skeleton sure to add a little roar to your day. And don’t miss Dino Gems Mining Operation where everyone uncovers a keepsake to treasure. The park also features a colossal skeletal playground for kids that’s large enough to contain even the loudest pitter-patter of little dinosaur feet.

"Relaxed Dinosaur fun!"
April, 2018
Our 6 year old dinosaur lover had the best time! He learned a lot and really enjoyed everything! The park is very well maintained. It was busy, but not overcrowded. The layout and available activities were great! Plenty of sunshine... plenty of shade! And the gift shop had a great selection! I definitely recommend!

"Dog-Friendly Dinosaur Park"

Date of Visit: Monday, Dec 10th, 2018 It is rare when you find a dog-friendly attraction, and one that involves Dinosaurs…well, we are sold. This is a large park full of dinosaur sculptures and other creatures that are often thought of as dinosaurs but are not. While there is always an element of educational experience in these places, I found this place to be really good on the education factor. There are signs in front of every statue to let you know what it is you are looking at, where it was found, the time period, what it ate, etc. It also dispels myths and misconceptions about dinosaurs that you may have learned from movies or TV. They have a ‘meet the Paleontologist’ cave, where two guys educate kids (and adults) on different aspects of dinosaurs. There is a section of the park that is dedicated to the carnivorous dinosaurs, and they do not shy away from the brutality and gore of what would have happened. This is very cool, as it is very representational, and unlike what you see at most other parks where the depictions are sanitized. This is a really cool place to visit, well done, and highly informative. Grounds are well maintained, and the paths are easy for anyone to walk or stroll down. This is very mobility friendly. There is plenty of on-site parking and a huge gift shop.

We went on a school day and there was a school group there. That’s fine, but the fossil dig is only available at certain time a couple of hours apart. Well my three year old grandson didn’t have a chance to doing this event. I wish when there is a scheduled group they should have a dig at a different time just for them. The dinosaurs were cool and my grandson really liked it.

3 adults and 3 kids. Visited on a cooler day. Access after exit off of I4 was not easy, I didn't see a sign, just assumed the road to turn on. The displays are nice. Clean. Parking is good. Buildings are good. Playground was nice. Digging for fossils. Walk through the forest. Several shows, they were entertaining for the kids audience. Had issue with entrance fee, I was the only one who qualified as Florida resident, had tax bill, but others needed photo id which was left at home. Great discount for Florida resident 50%, disappointed couldn't use it more.

As a resident of Florida for a lot of years, I've lost track of the times we passed this place on the interstate and laughed about it being a silly tourist trap. More recently, we talked about how we would go if our kids ever decide we need grandchildren (no rush, apparently). Then, we just did it one Saturday. It's like a giant outdoor dinosaur museum. The dinos do look a little bit manufactured, because, well, they are. But you get a great flavor for their size and appearance, how they lived, who was mean and who ate plants, etc. It was definitely worth a one time trip at any age and more frequently with children.
