Fun for the kids and very educational. Dinosaurs are life-size, which makes it very engaging and really impressed my nephew. The museum provides a lot of information that feeds a child’s curiosity about all things dinosaurs.

Description

from Dinosaur World Florida
Dinosaur World is Central Florida's only attraction dedicated to the giants of years past. The 20-acre theme park is conveniently located between Tampa and Orlando on Interstate 4 and a must see for families exploring the area. Spend your visit walking amongst some of the most feared predators ever to walk on the planet before heading off to explore the outdoor shows and entertainment including the Dino Disguise Show, Excavation Cave Experience, and the all-new Triviasaurus Rex Game Show.

Practice your skills as a paleontologist at the area’s largest Fossil Dig before you head over to the Boneyard Excavation to try your hand at uncovering a prehistoric skeleton sure to add a little roar to your day. And don’t miss Dino Gems Mining Operation where everyone uncovers a keepsake to treasure. The park also features a colossal skeletal playground for kids that’s large enough to contain even the loudest pitter-patter of little dinosaur feet.

"Relaxed Dinosaur fun!"
April, 2018
Our 6 year old dinosaur lover had the best time! He learned a lot and really enjoyed everything! The park is very well maintained. It was busy, but not overcrowded. The layout and available activities were great! Plenty of sunshine... plenty of shade! And the gift shop had a great selection! I definitely recommend!

"Best Day Ever"
March, 2018
Dinosaur World was the highlight of our vacation. We went with our family (3 adults and 5 children-2yrs to 6.5yrs) last week and we all blast had a blast. The park was clean and well kept. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Most the the park was in the shade! The playground was a blast and entertained the children. The park was small enough for us to see everything and not get overwhelmed, but there was enough to do and see that we spent almost 4 hours there. We brought lunch- plenty of picnic tables! The best part was that it was so affordable!

"Just an average day trip"
February, 2018
Ok for kids, under age of 8 who don't have very high expectations. I expected more in the way of some animatronic stuff or live action actors through out the park. But basically it's a very static place with a bunch of fiberglass dinosaurs. No frills experience and a huge gift shop with overpriced dino souvenirs. I suggest going ONLY if you've done everything else possible and still feel the need to spend vacation money!

My 6 yr old grandson loves Dinosaurs, so he loved walking around and looking at the giant Dino’s. Had our 8 yr old grandson with us to. He liked it. They also liked the gemstone mining. It’s a cute little place. Has a few activities. It’s basically a park where you walk a path looking at all different types of Dinosaurs.

Just visited Dinosaur World with my daughter and grandsons. I was very impressed. The park was very well kept. The exhibits were well done and included signs giving each dinosaur’s name, along with pronunciation, and a description of attributes and lifestyle. The Dino gem mining was great. All the kids were excited to find their treasures.

"Fun for the Young Ones!!"

We arrived and passed through the store to get our tickets. Upon exiting the ticket and store area, to the right are the restrooms and the museum. The museum is a filled with real fossils and there is a section with four or five robotic dinosaurs that move their heads and some move their feet. We walked all the paths to see all the different dinosaurs. The paths are enveloped with tall trees and large foliage to keep the sun off the paths, which we really appreciated on a hot and humid Florida day. They had an area where some docents did a little game, and also a cave where kids learned about the different types of dinosaurs. There was even a pit filled with sand and brushes in a bucket for kids to explore and find a dinosaur skeleton. The area is immaculately clean, no trash anywhere. The foliage makes you feel like you are back in the dinosaur age. There is a large play area for kids ages 5-12 and an area for younger ones, so that helped make the day fun. One thing to note, there is no food sold on the premises, so you will need to bring a picnic, or go early and eat lunch at the next exit, which is what we did and then came back. We found only two coin operated drink machines. Discounts for seniors.

We took an adventure to Dinosaur World for our 4 year old on his birthday. We really didn’t know what to expect other than what we saw from I4 every time we passed by. Since he is in that Dinosaur phase, this stop was a no-brainer. The price is great and the park itself is wonderful for little ones. There is a museum and playground for the kids to learn and play. There is a dinosaur bones digging area and plenty of places to have a birthday or picnic. They encourage bringing your own food and drinks too. No WiFi (you really won’t need it) and the staff is very helpful and polite. There is a gift shop as well. I couldn’t find much about this place when planning this trip but I took a gamble and I’m glad we did.

"Great for small kids!"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

We actually were on a longer tripped and stopped overnight near hear to make the car ride easier for my 4 year old daughter and to let her do something fun. We honestly didn't know what to expect before arriving. We had my 4 year daughter who loves dinosaurs and her 11 year old cousin with us with this visit. Dinosaur world itself isn't huge by any means but it was about right for kids as far as I'm concerned. The dinosaur walk was neat which essentially leads you on a concrete path through a nice wooded area with all sorts of different life sized dinosaurs with information on each of them. They have a playground that kids can burn off some energy at and also a small little movie theater area that is nice to help cool off. They also have a little area where kids can blindly touch and feel toy dinosaurs and try to guess which dinosaur they are touching. We paid for the extra couple things since we were there and wanted to get the full experience. One of these was a fossil dig in which they let you go in with little sand sifters and sift through sand which has all sorts of fossils in it. Its filled with tons of tiny fossils so finding them is no issue whatsoever. Kids actually get to pick through and keep their favorite 3 that they find which the employees will help you identify. My daughter being a huge shark fan chose 3 different shark teeth. The other thing is a gem mining type of attraction in which kids get a bag of dirt and a sifter and they get to sift through the dirt in a running water trough to find gems. They also give you a little guide to help identify whatever you find. Its a pretty minimally staffed place as far as I could tell and consisted of one lady yelling for a guy any time we had an interaction with an employee to help. I don't know if she was a new employee or what but she wasn't able to help us out with even the simplest of tasks. The employees weren't rude but they were overly friendly and outgoing either like I'd normally expect in a place geared toward small children. They also have a neat little museum that is a nice break from the heat with some really neat fossils and reading information. One really odd thing for me was that water wasn't an option in any of the vending machines. I did however after asking find out that the gift shop does have water for sale in there. The gift shop had a decent selection and for the most part was pretty reasonably priced compared to what I'd normally expect in such shops. It was 90+ degrees when we were there and we spent I think roughly 2.5 hours there doing everything they had to offer and taking our time, which for us was as much as my 4 year old could stand before needing a nap anyways. We had a good time and enjoyed our experience here, its a quirky little unique place unlike anywhere else I've visited and I feel a great experience for smaller children.
