Orlando Presents First Annual Food & Wine Festival

You could not ask for a more charming place than Lake Eola to stage the first annual Orlando Food and Wine Fest.

Lake Eola is already a popular spot to picnic and relax in downtown Orlando, while watching the swans on the lake. Visitors can also paddle their own swan shaped boat around the lake that is surrounded by some of Orlando's most impressive arcitecture.

Most major cities can boast large food festivals held in their downtown and here the goal is to create a world class annual destination event. The Orlando Food & Wine Fest will be a “Treat for the Senses” with some of Orlando’s finest and most diverse restaurants showcased along with wines of the world, and first class entertainment.

Smooth Jazz 103.1 WLOQ, Orlando Home & Leisure magazine, Orlando CEO, and The Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association have joined forces to produce a festival that will celebrate great food, great wine, and great entertainment. It has all of the elements to ensure that it will be around for many, many years.

Elements:
Wine tasting featuring dozens of international and domestic wines
An outdoor sports pub
A large Performance Stage featuring national recording artists
A Chef’s Stage with seminars and cooking demonstrations
Vendors, beverage stations, samples and more

Location: The setting will be Robinson Street along Lake Eola from Rosalind to Eola Drive. This wide boulevard offers plenty of room for strolling in a picturesque setting bordering Lake Eola Park. The MetroPCS Entertainment Stage will feature all of the musical performances, and will be located in the northeast corner of the park at the corner of Eola and Robinson.

Dates & Time: Saturday, November 15th from 12:00pm to 9:00pm
Sunday, November 16th from 12:00pm to 6:00pm

Admission price: $10.00 in advance, and $15.00 at the gate. Attendees on Saturday will have FREE admission on Sunday.

Charity: This event will help benefit the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association Educational Foundation.
