Richard Petty Driving Experience at Walt Disney World Speedway

Richard Petty Driving Experience offers 2 different types of experiences where guests can ride along shotgun (passenger’s seat) or drive a real 600hp(Car Talk) race car. The following describes our offerings:

Ride-Along Experience
Description: Experience real life racing thrills by riding shotgun in a 2-seat stock car driven by one of our professional instructors for a 3-lap NASCAR qualifying run at speeds up to 145 MPH. Ride-Along participants must be at least 14 years old and all participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Driving Experiences

Rookie Experience (8 laps over 1 session)
Description: Your hands are on the wheel, your foot is on the gas and you are in the driver’s seat for 8 laps around the track. The program can last up to half a day; the memories last a lifetime.

King's Experience (18 laps over 2 sessions)
Description: Satisfy your need for speed while trying to tame the speedway in this high-thrill, 18-lap program. Program lasts up to half a day.

Experience of a Lifetime (30 laps over 3 sessions)
Description: Think you can handle 30 laps of white-knuckled, heart-pounding speed? Improve your driving line, increase your speed and consider a career change. Program lasts up to half a day.
